Re: [Getting Started] Make Your Own Dota 2 Cosmeti
Did you find this post helpful?
Oha, this is some good stuff, i have already exported Doom and AA...
But i have some questions.
Its easy to create geometry and uv it also make some nice textures in PS.
So is that all i have to do? Do i have to "rig" somthing? some Bone work?
How do i make things be considerd as a "cloth" like the chains of Axes Demon Blood Axe? (in blender shall i just work with the normal internal cloth simulator? (somthing tells me no))
If i Make animations to some object, how to do it the correct way? (technicaly. I know how to animate but are there any special formats that have to be used?)
Will i have to make special nodes or name the bones in some special way?
And again i thank you alot just for this tutorial!
Tbh, I think they will do advance stuff like rigging @ valve itself, but all depends if they find it worth their effort, so doing something that gives them extra work might demotivate them to use it.
Anyway @ OP: Looks great, I will look it over when I'm more awake. Was already considering to make some items to make some money, but mostly it would be great to have stuff for DotA 2 in my own portfolio as Game Artist.
Still had some loose ends about this, so I think your blog will help me out great!
