Default on the subject of doombringer

this hero has not seen the light of the competitive scene for over 2 years.

what is the reason he is not played that much?
does he not fit the current meta-game or is he just to UP?

does he need buffs, does he need a remake.

how do you guys like Doombringer? and is it even possible to win with him on a consistent basis?

what a silly question. I think you can easily answer for yourself why he isnt fit.
The global reason why some carries don't work in competitive is a simple one: they lack utility.

doom is dependant on heavy farm and his only useful skill, his ultimate cannot compete to the utility other heroes bring.

Give him more armor and he'll be fine.

Actually devour is good at countering Chen and Echan. And Doom is great. Lvl?death is his weak point. It does hurt a lot, but unreliable.

A minor armor buff and a minor buff on Dooms cast range would do him well.

I think we can agree he needs some mayor buffs.

he looks fun and promising but lvl?death! could use a rework.

he wasn't an uncommon pick at all at the last international. but the hero pool was pretty limited.

I would love for his starting int to be higher. Getting rid of the level restrictions on devour would be beautiful as well.

So you want it to be constant 520 damage at lvl4 with a ministun to boot?

He just needs a minor buff to his laning phase... even a simple +1 armor might do... or make that +2 armor buff since he actually starts with negative armor.

I'm sorry, what?

He said devour, not lvl?death. How the hell do you get lvl?death to deal 520 dmg anyway? o_0

I win quite often with him. He's just quite situational, not very flexible. Not a very straight forward playing style either. But very rewarding if in the right hands.

Some armor would be nice obviously.

TBH I just wish there was more variety in actually viable neutral creep abilities so that it's a properly versatile skill instead of just choosing between Stomp+Endurance Aura and Crit+Command Aura. It's not like it would be hard to buff neutrals' abilities in ways that don't mess up jungle farmers at all; the movespeed and HP regen auras could be improved with no real change in their combat ability for example. Improved manacosts and cooldowns wouldn't be too bad (you can always adjust the creep's manapool).

Lol, Doom lacks utility?

No seriously the reason why Doom isn't doing so well is because he's the epitome of gank hero.

Last I checked the rock/paper/scissors syndrome, I believe gank loses to lane control and group pushing tactics. ((Which is the current Meta game. Give Doom some popular hero compositions to gank and he'll be #1 like he was.))
