If you dont Like the name, it could be change to Arcanis, The Shape Shifter

First of all i want to say
that this is one of the heroes i was building for my one Dota style map, befor i find out that that allredy existed, and it was called DOTA
My first post ever
I dont have idea how to put icons an images (i never participate in forums)
English is not my first lenguage, so sorry for the spelling mistakes

The Basic Idea is having an Invokers style Heroe, one that can kuickly adapt to difrent situations by changing its skills

Model: I used furion`s one, but it had alredy been used so if you think about a semi-human model ( not ugly) share it

I`m trying to create a test map, but it will take long before i figurate out how to build the skills, so be pacient

STORY:

Even a human is child of Nature
He feeds from the earth, he flows with the river
He seeks wind`s freedom, he hides fire inside his heart
And after evrithing ends, and life seems to banish
He comes back, once again, son of the element that created him
Once more, borned from Nature

To those who dear to harm Nature
Would be judged by the Wrath of the centuries,
Let Nature`s will, become his
Geo


As tormented soul, I prefer a nice text instead of a story, if you dont like it, I can introduce a good story

Haw it Works
Here is how it works, Geo has 4 shapes that he can adquire for some seconds, each shape grants some bonifications and gives one active skill and one passive skill, unic of the shape you are using. By using the active ability, you instantly lose the shape you are using. By upgrading Armony, you would be able to combine shapes to be granted of both bonifications and both shapes passive skills (you wont be able to reset your shape type by using 2 or 4 shapes becouse you have no more active skills).
PASSIVE SKILLS ARE KEPT WHILE USING ONLY 2 SHAPES, WHILE USING MORE YOU DONT ACUMULATE THEM
SHAPESHIFTING COSTS LOTS OF MANA AND NEEDS TIME, THE ONLY WAY TO GO BACK TO YOURS ORIGINAL SHAPE SO YOU CAN SHIFT INTO SOMETHING DIFRENT IS WAITING 8s OR USING A SKILL, USING TWO SHAPES SIMULTANESLY OR ENTERING INTO THE ULTIMATE SHAPE IS NOT SOMETHING NESESARELY GOOD.

when changing shape, all shapes wold have the coldown
Coldowns and costs of the active abilityes are the same on porpouse, becouse you are kuickly changing shapes and combining skills, would be very dificult memorizing the mana cost of each skill
Coldowns, durations and costs of the difrent shapes are the same on porpouse, the same as befor it will make the character mor fluid to use

And yes, if you have alredy noticed in the stadistics, i like number 8


Fire Shape:

Fire breathes, grows, consumes everything that once was, and from it`s ashes borns everything that can bee

Lvl1: gives 4 extra agility,
Lvl2: gives 8 extra agility
Lvl3: gives 12 extra agility
Lvl4: gives 16 extra agility
Lvl5: gives 20 extra agility
Mana Cost: 80
Duration: 8s
Coldown: 4s

Active:
CONSUME:

The will of fire to consume evrithing, Geo throws a spark at target area that will kuickly spread into a mighty fire, units touched by the fire will be consumed, being damage and becoming more vulnerabe to harm during this efect

Fire afects every unit in its area
The fire starts with 200 aoe and last 4 seconds
If a unit dies under its efect, the fire will spread an extra 200 aoe and duration will be reseted
Fire destroys trees
Cant spred more that once per second

Lvl1: Burns 15 damage per second, amplifies damage 8%
Lvl2: Burns 20 damage per second, amplifies damage 16%
Lvl3: Burns 30 damage per second, amplifies damage 24%
Lvl4: Burns 40 damage per second, amplifies damage 32%
Lvl5: Burns 50 damage per second, amplifies damage 40%

Coldown:20s
Mana cost:120
AOE: 200

Passive:

Envolve: The Will of fire becomes Geo`s will, spreading onto enemys sorrounding him

Lvl1: Deals 18 damage per second to sorroundind units
Lvl2: Deals 36 damage per second to sorrounding units
Lvl3: Deals 54 damage per second to sorrounding units
Lvl4: Deals 62 damage per second to sorrounding units
Lvl5: Deals 80 damage per second to sorrounding units
Coldown: passive
Mana cost: passive
Aoe: 200






Water Shape:

Water is always changing, adquires the shape it needs and shapes the earth itself, the seed of life.
Lvl1: Gives 400 ranged attack, 0.2% life regeneration, 40% mana regeneration
Lvl2: Gives 500 ranged attack, 0.4% life regeneration, 60% mana regeneration
Lvl3: Gives 600 ranged attack, 0.6% life regeneration, 80% mana regeneration
Lvl4: Gives 700 ranged attack, 0.8% life regeneration, 100% mana regeneration
Lvl5: Gives 800 ranged attack, 1% life regeneration, 120% mana regeneration

Coldown:4s
Mana cost:80
Duration: 8s

Active:
Flow:

The will of wather for change. Geo will call a water torrent sorrownding him, incresing allies stats within the area.

Lvl1: Increse allies stats by 4%
Lvl2: Increse allies stats by 8%
Lvl3: Increase allies stats by 12%
Lvl4: Increase allies stats by 16%
Lvl5: Increase allies stats by 20%
Coldown: 20 s
Mana cost: 120
AOE: 800
Duration:8s

Passive:

Water sorrounds Geo`s body, absorving part of the damage dealt to him

Lvl1: Absorbs 4% both phisical and magic damage
Lvl2: Absorbs 8% both phisical and magic damage
Lvl3: Absorbs 12% both phisical and magic damage
Lvl4: Absorbs 16% both phisical and magic damage
Lvl5: Absorbs 20% both phisical and magic damage







Earth Shape:

Earth is ower world`s pilar, thouf enought to pass through ages without losing its strenght, as a quiet ancient, withnes of the planetīs history.

Lvl1: 4 extra stenght
Lvl2: 8 extra stenght
Lvl3: 12 extra stenght
Lvl4: 16 extra stenght
Lvl5: 20 extra stenght
Coldown:4s
Mana cost:80
Duration: 8s

Active:
Fissure

Earth shakes under Geo`s will, fissuring infront of him, dealing damage based on Geoīs life points and stuning for 1s for each 10% enemys hitpoint this damage represents

Lvl1: 8% Geo`s current hitpoints as damage
Lvl2: 10% Geo`s current hitpoints as damage
Lvl3: 12% Geo`s current hitpoints as damage
Lvl4: 14% Geo`s current hitpoints as damage
Lvl5: 16% Geo`s current hitpoints as damage

Mana cost: 120
AOE: 400 in front of him
Duration:8s

Passive:
Earth`s constitution

Mountains doesnt pay reverence before the ages, neither does Geo, gives aditional armor

Lvl1: 2 extra armor
Lvl2: 4 extra armor
Lvl3: 6 extra armor
Lvl4: 8 extra armor
Lvl5: 12 extra armor





Wind Shape:

Wind is the elemental expretion of freedom, free from any ties, even free from death and life

Lvl1: 4% aditional movment speed
Lvl2: 8% aditional movment speed
Lvl3: 12% aditional movment speed
Lvl4: 16% aditional movment speed
Lvl5: 20% aditional movment speed
Coldown:4s
Mana cost:80
Duration: 8s

Active:
Vortex

Geo creates an air vortex arround him, enemys beyond 600 aoe will be pushed away, while enemys within 600 aoe will be pushed towards Geo
(enemys can still move normaly wile pushed)

Lvl1: will be pushed 80 per second
Lvl2: will be pushed 110 per second
Lvl3: will be pushed 140 per second
Lvl4: will be pushed 160 per second
Lvl5: will be pushed 180 per second
Mana cost: 120
AOE: 1200
Duration:14s

Passive:
Will for freedom

Geo`s body becomes as free as the air, lossing its solid form, making it dificult to hit, but more bulnerable if harmed

Lvl1: Recives 800% normal damage, 80% evasion chance
Lvl2: Recives 750% normal damage, 80% evasion chance
Lvl3: Recives 600% normal damage, 80% evasion chance, can move through creeps
Lvl4: Recives 550% normal damage, 80% evasion chance, can move through creeps
Lvl5: Recives 500% normal damage, 80% evasion chance, can move through creeps and umpasable terrain






Elemental Harmony: (can be learned at lvls:4,7,10,13,16)

Elements combine to create magnificent power, eneabeling Geo to use more than one shape simultanesly
Lvl1: Can use up to two shapes simulanesly, shape changing bonuses are lost, both shape passive skills are kept
Lvl2: Can use up to two shapes simulanesly, shape changing bonuses stack, both shape passive skills are kept
Lvl3: Can use three shapes simultanesly entering into Energy shape, shape changing bonuses are lost
Lvl4: Can use three shapes simultanesly entering into Energy shape, shape changing bonuses stack
Lvl5: Can 4 all four shapes simultanesly, entering into Geo`s ultimate shape
New skill one with the universe when not using shapes at all (Its just a posibility)


(I was planing to create new skills for each shape convination, but that would be to much skills, so I decided to better just keeping both chosen shape`s passive skills)

Energy Shape: (you enter into Energy shape while using 3 shapes simultanesly)
Lasts: 10s


Active:
Elemental Symphony:

By mixing elements toghether, Geo creates a massive amount of elemental energy that is released as a powerfull beam, the beam damage type is pure, and pushes back your fows as fast as the beams goes.
_Deals 400 pure damage, range 2000, with 200, travels the 2000 in 1s, pushes at the same speed
Coldown: 40s
Mana cost: 200
Casting time: 1s




Passive:
Elemental chaos:

Geo`s body absorbs an exesive amaunt of elemental power, entering into a chaotic state. Any enemy brave enought to attack him will have 20% chance to miss, become stuned for 1s, slowed by 20%, ore being damaged by 100 (only meele attackers)



Geo`s ultimate shape: (you adquire this shape while being in all shapes simultanesly)
20 to all stats
Lasts 20s

Passive:Will for Death:

Geo`s will is grather than hes foes ones, making their own bodys to lose their will to live, making life regeneration to harm intead
_ Makes life regeneration negative (instead of healing, it will harm, inspired in OBLIVIONS WARD)


Passive: Will for life

Geo`s will for life is more powerfull than death itself, wile greater his wounds, greater is his will for keeping alive
_you gain 0.1 armor 0.04% life regeneration for each 1% missing life points



AT FIRST I WAS PLANNING TO CREATE NEW SKILLS FOR EACH 2 SHAPES CONVINATION, BUT THAT COULD BE TO MUCH, THEN IM ASKING FOR YOUR OPINION.
MUST GEO HAVE NEW SKILLS WHILE COMBINATING 2 SHAPES OR JUST KEEP BOTH SHAPES PASSIVE SKILLS? VOTE

NEW SKILL:

One with the universe
Geo`s body is one with everything sorrounding him, even magic. When he becomes in contact with an enemy`s attack, his body becomes the same as the magic, becoming more powerfull for a short period and being healed instead of harmed if the same magic reaches him again.
20% of last magic damage recived is gaines as attack bonus, healed instead of harmed if the same magic reaches him again.
Coldown: 8s

Passive: activates when reached by a skill
(this is just an idea i have for a skill, it fits the character, but i don`t know if its works well with the hole thing)

As you can see, you can only cause good damage by using sinergis beetween shapes, using just one doesnt have greats efects

SINERGIS:
Ciclone + Fire shape: Force your oponents to keep near you wile you burn them alive with consume and envolve
Flow + Fire shape: Recive a greater agility bonus from the fire shape
Flow + Earth shape: Recive a greater Streanght bonus from earth shape
Ciclone + flow: Keep your enemies inside the area where you recive bonus stats
Wind shape + Water shape: Evade enemies attack while you escape and regenerate
Water shape + Earth shape: Tons of armor, damage absorsion and regeneration
Ciclone + Fire shape + Earth shape + Water shape + Air shape = Make sure your enemies will have dificulties to run away, attack them with fire shape, turn into earth shape to make them more dificult to harm you, use water shape to enter into energy shape an finish them with Elemental Simphony, if you are prety bad hurt, use air shape to enter intos Geo`s ultimate shape and laught wile your enemis try to kill you and they regeneration acts against them.
TOO MUCH COMBINATIONS TO NAME THE ALL


Best Friends:
Obsidian destroyer ( becouse of his aura)


Worst Enemies:
Silencer:To be Silenced is bad, but curse of the silent will force you to use a skill and lose your shape, if casted with 2 or 4 shapes you would be doomed
Earth Shaker: So much stuns wont let you Shape Shifting, you are an easy target
Mages style Heroes: A real danger, specialy when you are in Air Shape
Heroes With stun: They disable you, without shapeshifting you are nothing
Heroes With mana destroying skills: Geo has very little mana for an inteligence heroe, mana consumption would be terrible for him
Hunter heroes: They attack and they dont give you time for shape shifting more than once

Good against:
Hunter heroes: by being you who attack them, yo prepare with wind shape to reach them cuickly, you use vortex to lose your shape and turn into Earth Shape to be more resistant. Use fisure to damage a lot ,stun, and lose your shape. If he tries to run, change to air shape to catch him.... convined with fire shape for a better result.
Tank Heroes: use the convination of water shape and earth shape, and see who is more thought


The other heroes who have an advantege or disadvantege with or against Geo would depend on wich shapes have you leveled up

Builds: Once again, depends on wich shapes you prefer using, but something you need that Geo lacks, IS MANA, so

LINKEN SPHERE: Mana, life, stats, and a way to lose your disadvantege against disabling skills
Arcane Ring: Gives you mana replenish, so you would be able to use your difrent shapes frecuently
Power threads: Choose the more convinient Stats bonus
Black king Bar: Lose your vulnerability to magic while in air shape, and be protcted against stuns



Other items would depend as i said before, on the shapes you had leveled up


The character was originaly even more complex, but that would dificultly fit in DOTA

So at level 25 you have a passive +25 str, +25 agi, 80 damage per second immolation, +12 armor, +20% movespeed, +20% attack speed, 80% evasion, an 800 ranged attack, and a +3% hp/sec regen.

Sounds fair.

All your icon come from wow and don't follow wc3 iocn style.

I thought i was clear, you only have both passive skills wile using only 2 shapes
While using more, you gain the stats all of them provides, but not the passive skills. While entering into Energy Shape or Ultimate Shape you only have two skills
ŋAnd where did the attack speed bonus came from?

An each shape shifting cost 80 mana and has 4 s coldown, having 3 shapes will cost 240mana and you would require at least 12s to cast them all without using others skills

And why you all replay just for saying lol?
Say something usefull, and idea, an opinion, help me to balance it... ŋand what does LOL means?

Nice idea for using the Shape Shifter name. I think you can use the Sentinel's Wisp as your hero model. It doesn't looks like any human or creature shape. So, it suit to be a shape shifter. If you use human-type model, people will think that is that any human can change form?

ok, onto skill review:

fire and earth - fire means destruction and carnage. suitable increase should be damage. earth means protection, blessing, towering defense (mountain). earth should increase armor of unit.

Armony - should be called Elemental Harmony. how do you decide which elements to combine with? this needs some explanation... also, there is a need for active skills. even though there will be a long list, you still have to write it down. also, elements that do not compliment each other cannot be chosen (i.e: fire and water, earth and wind) so, for two elements, it can be earth and fire/water, fire and earth/wind, etc. For three elements, it should be noticable already, your main will combine with the other two elements. if your main element is fire, it combines with earth and wind.

overall: needs some brushing up on explanation that might be missed by some.
concept and idea is unique to its characteristics. skills are not OP nor are they underpowered.

My point of view:

I think, concept-wise, that you did a great job trying to integrate Invoker and Bane Elemental. The many skills gives the hero more flexibility and more skills synergies making him a force to be reckoned with. I like your idea making him a spirit who can shape shift into elements. I also liked the background story; it's poetic, emotional, and it gives the hero a twist of mystery. Making the hero melee is something new, as I would have expected a ranged hero for someone with so many elemental skills. The concept overall is impressive as it is excellent. T-UP for that. As for the skills, the numbers need some major tweaking. Looking at the Fire Shape itself, the level 5 Immolation makes him nearly untouchable by certain melee heroes such as Gondar, Rikimaru, and other paper-thin melee heroes. Anyway, good concept, T-UP, but the skills and numbers need some adjusting.

I know the fire Shape`s Envolve Ability is a little to powerfull... but deal almost the same damage that Seer`s Ion Shell, and cant be casted to allies.
Also you must lvl the skill 5 times, so having that damage takes a little more time than the Ion Shell
