False.
It's more like this: .. X damage dealt So if we assume SC 1 and SC 2 were both lvl 4 (for simplicity), then we have not Xspell X + 0.5 XSC 1 + 0.5 XSC 2 = 2 X but rather Xspell X + 0.5 XSC 1 (1 + 0.5SC 2 amplifying SC 1) + 0.5 XSC 2 (1 + 0.5SC 1 amplifying SC 2) = 2.5 X |

As long as the new instance of damage is large enough (>5 iirc), then yeah I guess. It's just complicated.

Plague Aura uses fundamentally the same mechanic as Soul Catcher, Orchid, and every other triggered damage amplification. Plague Aura amplifies damage > 4 instead of damage > 5, and it amplifies by 20/25/30/35% instead of 20/30/40/50%, but otherwise it's the same.
My initial calculation was naive, basically because I wasn't thinking about later damage instances.

Why is everyone saying that orchid amplifies damage like penitence, soul catcher, plague aura etc.? The damage is delayed...
It's defenitely not an insta-kill if you have to wait 2 seconds for the orchid damage. And you have to mention that you assume all other damage amplifiers to be active when orchid ends.
