WELCOME TO SECXIIKILLA'S GUIDE TO THE JUGGERNAUT!

Introduction: Well hello there PD. This is my first guide to my favorite hero, Yurnero the Juggernaut. Yurnero can be weak at first, but when he gets farmed, he can be unstoppable.

Slicing through armor with the greatest of ease. Whirling, dancing like a dervish, swiping foes with a flick of the wrist. Poetry in motion, slashing enemy upon enemy in the blink of an eye. Yurnero seeks perfection. Seeks to become one with his blade. All to fulfill his destiny as the unstoppable Juggernaut.

Let's look at the Juggernaut's pros and cons.

PROS

+Has a healing spell after ganks
+Good early game DPS spell
+Pretty good MS
+Above average AGI gain

CONS

-Low INT gain
-Low STR gain
-Low base damage
-Item dependent
-CAN BE the main target for enemy ganks

As you can see, the cons outweigh the pros in this case, but with the right items at the right time, all the cons will disappear.

Skill overlook:

Blade Fury: Usually called spin. I will use spin from now on to signify Blade Fury. This skill gives spell immunity for its duration. It also deals massive damage when timed. It is also a great synergy with Omnislash, because of its high DPS. It can be a fear factor, completed with Omnislash. More on this later!

Healing Ward: Ahh, the healing ward. It has 300 movespeed. This skill is perfect for Yurnero, as he is a ganker and this can heal you and your whole team after ganks and pushes.

Blade Dance: Critical Strike. This is Yurnero's best non-mana consuming skill. It has the highest chance to proc, at 36% at level 4. When Yurnero's items are complete, you will be critting like crazy.

Omnislash: The skill that defines Yurnero. This skill puts the "uggernaut" in Juggernaut, and the "Nero" in Yurnero. When this skill is used in one hero, the results are deadly. When used against many people, well, results CAN be deadly, depending on how many heroes are affected and the level of the Omnislash. Usually called Omni, will call this Omni from now on. More later.

Core:

Situational/Optional:

*Note: Usually, I get a Helm of the Dominator or Vladimir’s Offering after BattleFury or after the scepter.

Skill Builds:

Lvl 1- Blade Fury
Lvl 2- Stats*
Lvl 3- Blade Fury
Lvl 4- Blade Dance
Lvl 5- Blade Fury
Lvl 6- Omnislash
Lvl 7- Blade Fury
Lvl 8- Blade Dance
Lvl 9- Blade Dance
Lvl 10- Blade Dance
Lvl 11- Omnislash
Lvl 12- Stats
Lvl 13- Healing Ward
Lvl 14- Healing Ward
Lvl 15- Healing Ward
Lvl 16- Omnislash
Lvl 17- Stats
Lvl 18- Healing Ward
Lvl 19 to 25- Stats

*- I know what you might say. "zomgwtf why stats? why not bladedance?" Getting stats at level 2 helps by a LONGSHOT. It helps you cope with mana problems Juggy has. Getting blade dance instead of stats is not smart, because you have a low base damage still at level 2.

What do I get to start?

Good question.

If you randomed Yurnero:

Yep, the ring. The ring's for a faster BattleFury. Also for a semi-better survivability. Remember to wait a few seconds in the shops after the creeps come out.

If you randomed a stupid hero/a hero you just used last game then decided to pick Yurnero:

This depends. If you like surviving in your lane, I recommend this. If you don't, change the gauntlets with slippers of agility, for damage and a minor armor boost. I call this the SVSS starting build because of the hotkeys to buy them.

If you picked Yurnero:

This leaves you with 53 bux/gold/moolah. If you want or if you are aggressive and are going to want first blood, buy a clarity. If you want another 19 hp and 13 mana, buy a GG branch. GG branches ensure a good game, so you will win. (haha jk )

Lane overviews:

You're solo:

Versus melee: This will be a breeze. Just watch out when they get their ultimate, like Pudge. Try to deny a lot to hinder them from getting buffer than you, and last hit to your best.

Versus ranged: Challenging, but still doable. Deny and last hit carefully to take lesser damage. Watch out for ULTIMATERANGED heroes, especially Sniper.

Versus 2 ranged: DO NOT TRY TO LAST HIT OR DENY. Just stray close to the creeps so you can gain experience. They know that Yurnero is soft, so they might try a first blood. Well, you can try, just at your own risk.

Versus 2 melee: This is the same as the versus 1 range. Deny and last hit carefully. Denying is more effective if you do it because they will be both hindered because they have to share experience points. Watch out for them trying a combo on you to get first blood.

Versus 1 melee and 1 range: Same as the versus 2 range. But feel free to last hit and deny, but do it carefully. Also watch out for combos.

You're with an ally

Versus 1 range or 1 melee: zomg! The best thing that can happen to you. If your ally is not an idiot noob, you both SHOULD deny and last hit. It will hinder their solo by a lot.

Versus 2 melee: Bah, no difference really from the other one, but not really the best thing that can happen. Just stick to denying and last hitting and you'll both be fine.

Versus 2 range: BE CAREFUL! DENY AND LAST HIT WITH CARE! Stay in range to get experience, but far enough to not get attacked by enemy heroes.

Versus 1 range and 1 melee: Same as versus 2 melee, but be careful not to get in range of the ranged hero, as he can harass you and your ally.

(huh? )

If you are in the Sentinel, call a top lane. If you are in the Scourge, call a bot lane. If you want to solo, go ahead. The best solo lane of all three is the middle lane. Soloing helps you get an edge, because you get to gank earlier.

Creep blocking is ESSENTIAL no matter what lane you take!

Example:

This is a brief guide to creep blocking. Remember, if you creep block really good, you'll really hinder your opponents' levels by one or two.

This is the same if you take the middle or top lane.

Farm. Farm. Farm. Don't die. And remember, if you ARE about to die and you have at least 140 mana, SPIN! SPIN! SPIN! SPIN!!! Why? You are immune do magic when you spin, so you will take no more damage from spells.

By the time early game is over, when you're about level 7 or 8, you should have:

If you've farmed a lot, the ring should become a perseverance.

Most of the ZOMGJUGGPWN'ing will take place here. Most of the ganking that you're supposed to do will take place here. It is the time when the Juggernaut pwns a lot, but also when he dies a lot. So be careful in this time of the game. Middle game usually ends when you have scepter or when you have scepter and vlads.

Remember the SpinRunOmnislash combo I told you about? This is when you'll use it a lot! This is the fear factor of the SpinRunOmnislash combo!
Here's how to use it:

STEP ONE, Spin to Scare:

STEP TWO, Omnislash time:

STEP THREE: Finishing move(s):

That's how to execute it. It takes a little practice. Remember, when you are going to spin on an enemy hero, right-click IN FRONT OF HIM. DO NOT RIGHT CLICK DIRECTLY ON THE HERO, OR THE SPIN WILL NOT DAMAGE TOO MUCH.

Keep doing this when you forest gank by yourself. You'll gain easy gold by doing this, and you can get a lot of items! But your priority is Scepter, because it adds slashes and reduces the Lvl 3 cooldown to 90 seconds! BattleFury mana regeneration helps, it will regenerate a lot of mana in 90 seconds. After scepter you can get Vladimirs or Sange and Yasha or Helm of the Dominator. The best build is this:

When you get this, middle game is over.

By this time, all your team's items should be done. You are ultra buff now. Your team mates should be too. Gank like you all did before, use teh SpinRunOmni combo. Push mid ftw. If the game is still not over by this time, extend your items. Sell one of your bracers and buy a HyperStone for your Assault Cuirass. Then proceed to Butterfly. Why? Assault just increases attack speed, Butterfly increases attack speed AND damage. It is waaaay better than Assault, but if you want a minus armor to make Omnislash more powerful and have more slashes, go ahead. It is really better to get HyperStone first THEN get Butterfly, but if you want to finish Assault Cuirass, go ahead.

Who do I omnislash?

This is an excellent question. But the real question is: Who do I cast omnislash ON?
You cast omnislash on CARRIES. Like MORTRED for example. Kill all the carries first, then the casters, then everyone else.
Or you can omnislash the casters first, so carries would be weak. Kill a Lion first before a Mortred. Then a Centaur.
