Under Construction.
Ok, well, this is my very first guide. It was on sniper, the first hero I ever used. It probably won't be very good, but I'll do my best.
Disclaimer: Little to no pictures. There probably won't be anything you have to click but spoilers. And links. Unless someone kindly tells me how to use them, of course. I might add screenshots in later, but only if people like it
Also, this is MY way of playing. You don't have to use it, you can change it, or you can follow it word for word.

1. Introduction
Character Model:

2. Stats

So from these stats, we can derive some pros and cons (and i'll add a few of others).
Pros
1. Fairly good starting range, and the longest range in the game (take aim)
2. Really good attack animation, almost instant. Matched with probably the fastest missile speed. The only one I can think of that can match it is Gyrocopter (3000)
3. Late game, can really dominate almost any non-ranged-carry hero without blink.
4. One of the most spammable ultimates in the game, dealing ~ 600 damage every 15 seconds.
Cons
1. Low damage equals hard early game.
2. Low health and base armor equals hard early game.
3. Low movespeed equals no escape capability, even with shrapnel.
In conclusion, he's a GREAT carry with GREAT chasing capability, and can sometimes "permabash" heroes with long casting animations (earthshaker...).
3. Alt + Tab Guide (in my HIGHLY PERSONAL preference.)
4. Early Game Items + Gameplay + Other
Skill Builds - there are several that sniper can use, it all depends on your style of gameplay and the enemy team's lineup.
Build 1. Optimum Build (aggressive farmer/harasser)
1. Headshot
2. Shrapnel
3. Headshot
4. Shrapnel
5. Headshot
6. Assassinate
7. Headshot
8. Shrapnel
9. Shrapnel
10. Take Aim/Stats
11. Assassinate
12. Take Aim
13. Take Aim
14. Take Aim
15. Take Aim/Stats
16. Assassinate
17 - 25. Stats
Explanation - Max out headshot as fast as possible for a higher chance of killing, and a much easier time farming. Max shrapnel second since it's a great pushing/raxing spell (works on buildings, lower damage though), AND it's a great farm tool. Then take Take Aim whenever possible, since the further back you are, the less chance you have of death. Assassinate whenever possible to max your own nuke. Get stats at level 10 if you think 1 level of take aim is useless.
Build 2. Anti-Gank (gankers, strong enemies)
1. Take Aim
2. Shrapnel
3. Take Aim
4. Shrapnel
5. Take Aim
6. Assassinate
7. Take Aim
8. Shrapnel
9. Shrapnel
10. Headshot/Stats
11. Assassinate
12. Headshot
13. Headshot
14. Headshot
15. Headshot/Stats
16. Assassinate
17-25. Stats
Explanation - Max take aim first, so that you can farm from a safer distance. Your missile speed is nearly instant, so you can pretty much pretend you're melee (and better!
). Max shrapnel second because you can use it to escape ganks, defend towers, or farm. Then Headshot once you grab a couple damage items. Assassinate whenever possible, because hey, your team might get a lucky teamfight with that annoying vagina blinking away.
Build 3. Pusher Build (self-explanatory, lol wtf)
1. Take Aim
2. Shrapnel
3. Shrapnel
4. Take Aim
5. Take Aim
6. Assassinate
7. Shrapnel

13. Headshot
14. Take Aim

16. Assassinate
17 - 25. Stats
Explanation - You level Take Aim first, but max shrapnel first. Get higher levels of Take Aim so you can outrange towers, and then max shrapnel for more damage, plus faster pushing. Headshot later so you can roll into a dps mode. Assassinate whenever possible.
Build 4. Experimental Caster Type Build (annoying tanks, more spammage of spells)
1. Take Aim/Shrapnel
2. Take Aim/Shrapnel
3. Take Aim/Shrapnel
4. Take Aim/Shrapnel
5. Take Aim/Shrapnel

I do NOT know how this will work. It seems that it COULD work, but I've never tried it out. If someone would kindly send a replay to Hunterking100@gmail.com (don't try stalking me, it's only the account I use for the websites that require me to verify an email. Not giving you my personal one tt) with this build. Then I'll try it myself and see how it goes.
Roles -
1. Farm. Lasthit. KS first blood. Do whatever you can in order to get money. You need it, or you're trash.
2. Deny. Especially if you're vsing another carry. Or 2. 3? Pubwin. You don't have to do this, just get farm.
3. Harass. You really DON'T have to do this, your lanemate can do this if you're on a sidelane. However, if you're farming well, denying a lot, then I guess you COULD harass. But make sure you don't get harassed yourself.
Items -
Build 1 Leaving Base

Build 2 Leaving Base

Build 3 Leaving Base

Build 4 Leaving Base

1x
Healing things for heals, slippers for slight survivability and attack, fill gg cuz gg = good game. Get orb of venom on a dominating lane.
Gameplay/Lane Choice
You've probably figured out what you're going to do when you first start
That's right ^^ Harass like a pro.
You're main job is to FARM. You could even build your own farm and go make a business
But seriously, do farm. You need to. It's your childhood. You're like the nerd who cries for a A- while some kid laughs off a D. Farm it d00d.
For lane choices, you can pick either the long lane (sentbot/scourgetop) or even MID. If you're picking mid, then you must be an EXPERT farmer, and EXPERT denyer, and an EXPERT harasser, and an EXPERT RUNE WHORER. If you're going mid, you must know every single basic thing about DoTA, get at least a 95% lasthit/deny ratio in single player, be able to rune whore, learn about lane control, the whatnot of the slipknot (<----that band is no good
) I don't mid, simply because there are better choices. I can if I feel like it
5. Middle Game Items + Gameplay
OR

You can pick either Phase Boots or Power Treads. I prefer Phase Boots because of damage, and because of more speed, and because of Phase
Poor Man Shields for survivability (damage block) and MORE DAMAGE!!! Get as many wraith bands as you need/want, since they benefit you a lot and are very cheap
I always get 1 PMS, and no wraiths. If I'm losing, I'll get wraiths, but for the most part, no wraiths :c Also, get wraiths if you're doing really good and want to do better, faster.
For those of you who want to know exactly why you don't pick the boots or you want to know why I use phase, here....
The Nos.
Arcane - Ok so you need mana. Quit dota.....You don't spam your skills until you get EoS (eye of skadi).
BoT - If you can farm this before 10 minute mark and have PMS and all the other stuff.
Phase Boots vs Power Treads
Phase Boots gives
+24 damage
+60 ms
Active, Phase - Gives 16% movement speed bonus and lets you move through units
Power Treads gives
+8 Str(health)/Agi(survivability/dps)/Int
+60 ms
+25 ias
Damage - Phase gives a flat 24 damage, while treads give more ias. This means more overall DPS, but what you need is 1 hit on a creep to kill it. If you getting money by killing, then pt is the choice. If you're still farming (good), then you'd get phase.
Speed - Phase. Period.
Gameplay/Jobs
Keep farming or go ganking. Simple. Pretty much the same as Middle Game, except easier and harder at the same time. Ganks + Farms.
Just keep on farming/keep on killing.
