Disclaimers (there are a lot of them) -This is not a guide to create the most effective techies. This is a guide to create the most effective suicide techies. Anyone who flames against using suicide will be thoroughly ignored. I will, however, be happy to take constructive criticism in creating a better suicidal maniac.
-Suicide techies is primarily for fun. While it can be effective, it must be done under the right circumstances.
-While it’s called suicide techies, my guild is flexible and undemanding. That is, it is using suicide to the fullest without shoving it up your ass.
-I have not played dota for a while, and my play style may be less effective due to current strategies/meta game. That said, this is a suicidal techies, so it’s really a meta game all its own.
-I expect readers to be fairly experienced.
-I am not dealing with all the details because other guides have done this miraculously well. I am not posting screenshots because I am lazy. This is a mini-guide. I am just getting down the basics.
-I currently can’t sleep right now, and probably am not thinking to coherently. But hey, I’m suicide techies. I don’t need to be. I apologiezs four any spellin 0r gr@matical errors. (lol)

Introduction
So. Why use suicide techies? Quite simply, because it’s fun. I am convinced that suicide techies is the most consistently hilarious way to play the game. So, ready to blow some people up? Let’s get started.

Beginning points-This is a suicide techies where we will actually attempt to win. Believe it or not, it can be done. That said, if you’re looking for a reliable techies game, check out neversaynever’s guide. This is an absolutely phenomenal guide, and Techies should be played like this 90% of the time. The other 10% of the time falls under this guide: When you want to make a complete ass of someone. (Whether it is your opponent or yourself will vary from game to game.
- Suiciding is not really killing yourself. It is an AOE nuke that does tremendous damage at melee range, while simultaneously teleporting yourself to base after a set amount of time. All of this is done for a modest price of gold. Sounds a lot better when it’s said like that, right?
-I guarantee at least three kills every single suicide. Their names all start with S.

When to pick suicide techiesWhen the enemy team is fragile and are easy to suicide. (Hi Zues. Let me give you a hug.)
When you have many early game heroes, and want to own quickly.
When its normal mode. (Enemy heroes manageable.)
When you want to have some fun.
When you want to embarrass someone.
When your team isn’t in desperate need of something.

When not to pick suicide techiesWhen the enemy team is chunky or have heroes who are hard to suicide. (Try ganking a Rikimaru… How’d it go?)
When the game looks like it will be long. (Many late game heroes, etc.)
When its em. (Enemy heroes get strong too quickly.)
When you want a reliable play style.
When you’re not cool like me.

Pros of MY suicide buildMassive early game power.
If done well, you should make the transition into mid-late game as a dependable support hero. (Or have already won.)
Mass statis traps like a… Like a guy who masses statis traps.
If suicide strategy isn’t going well, it is easy to transition into a more “standard” techies, with minimal harm on your gameplay.
Cons of MY suicide build
With games ending earlier and earlier, and all those fat STR heroes who are so popular, it is very situational.
Weaker late game than if you had gone with the “standard” build.
Miss out on landmine usage.
Miss out on a lot of farming.
You will be underleveled. (The amount varies per game.)

Explanation: The level 1 landmine is for early kills. Suicide is obvious. Why statis over landmine? Check this math out:
125/300=.4166
150/400=.375
175/500=.35
205/600=.3416

-It’s basically saying landmines are only slightly less efficient in mana to damage ratio at lower levels. What you’re really missing out on is the damage and the cooldown.
-You don’t have the mana to spam mines early game anyway, and later we will be using remotes. (More reliable, and allow us to go for statis).
-You don’t have farming and pushing power, but your support. It’s nice, but spamming statis is nicer.
-How many mines does it take to make a death trap? 4? 5? You’re underleveled, so maybe even more than that. And you have to stay in one place. Statis can be planted on the go, can cover 5 positions for every would-be death trap, work as wards, and are all-around badass.
-Remotes can be taken at any time. If your too “on the go” to plant them, get statis. If killing yourself is raking in the kills like you were hoping, get remotes.

-The holy Sh*t build may need some farming power to rush that early 2k gold. But then, if you see good opportunities, it’s better to grab the kills when you can, so go for suicide. Remote is put off cuz’ holy sh*t build needs farming and suiciding first.
- If your planning to play a normal suicide techies with this, and not the holy sh*t build, you can take remotes earlier. (The real benefit of this is the speed farming/ slow trap building. Strategies like lay 2 mines, blow yourself up, lay another 2 mines, can work. Also blow 2 creep waves, blow yourself up, repeat can keep your level up nicely.
-Overall this is a viable build, I simply find massing statis to be much more game changing. If you had more mana, traps may be better. But you don’t, you’re a suicide techies, and your items are probably less than great.

My Item BuildClarities
Boots of speed
1-2 Nulls (optional)
Bottle (optional)
Euls
Boots of Travel
Explanation- Some early stats items because it’s hard to rake in a lot of cash early, and these help keep you afloat. Note: buy clarities as necessary.
Boots are obvious
Bottle for obvious reasons. Don’t like it? It’s optional.
Euls- It’s a cheap disable, it gives good mana and mana regeneration, and it increases your speed. Perfect balance between useful and affordable.
Travels- Extra speed, but the real reason is the TP. At this point, your still gonna be statising like a maniac, but also laying more remotes, so TP is nice.
Everything after this is luxury. You guys know what’s good luxury for techies, and if you don’t check out one of the other guides.

Holy Sh*t build

Dagger
-Yeah, I’m guessing you understand the name by now. Let’s get one thing straight. The MY Build section shows what I believe is the most effective suicide techies. This is not. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve done well with this. But I’ve done poorly with this far more often.
For Giggles
Dagon
I laughed, I cried, and overall I found this a truly horrendous item. Highly recommended.
Shivas
Shiva suicide looks cool. Nuff said.
- The idea is to farm up that dagger really fast; either if you’re doing really well with the standard build or are going for the farming build. The farming build uses landmines and dbottle. Lane while running into the forest to creep stack, then go in for massive gold.
-This is absolutely hilarious when it works, and can work well with a big early game team. The perfectly landed suicide in a forced early team battle can be game changing.
-This is essentially the “shove suicide up your ass” build. It does not utilize suicide, it revolves around it. You have been warned.

Gameplay Obviously lane with an ally. Preferably one who can stun or disable.
Start ups- 2 options.
1- Tp and Mine a spot for first blood.
2- Eliminate the neutrals. (my favorite. It impacts the entire game.)
I like both. Switch it up. Check other guides for more details.

Holy Sh*t build-Early game focus on farming for dagger. Abuse bottle. Creep stack.
-Watch for chances to suicide. This gets you a lot of money as well.
-Once you got dagger, the fun begins. Work with allies, blink and kill. Mine inbetween while interweaving with creeps for experience.
-Hopefully you didn’t need to do the farming build, and can still abuse statis trap. This will make you far more effective.
-I’m not going into detail with this build. Why? Look at the name, for god’s sake.

My BuildRemember: you’re a support first, a ganker second. If suiciding isn’t going well, transition to a miner. Abuse suicide, but don’t be stupid about it. I could go into detail, but I think you all know what I mean. Holy sh*t build is good for giggles, but it is a prime example of going too far.
-Though I call this the suicide build, I should call it the suicide and statis trap build. (With some remote mines too). Remember that when you’re playing. It’s ok to be underleveled, but only if it’s worth something. Don’t run around the map trying to gank all game if you’re not getting kills.
Early GamePlant a ton of landmines. Their lvl 1, but they add up. Always save enough mana to suicide.
Suicide for kill whenever possible. Make sure allies are around for exp.
Abuse range to harass enemies.
Fake suicide to scare them. Eventually they realize your faking, stop running, then BOOM. And then they will always run when you fake, which is good too.
Work with your ally. Nothing else to really say here.
Once you hit level 5 or so, I’d say it’s a good time to start hitting other lanes. If you don’t have success, for god’s sake stop! Still level up suicide, but if you don’t use it like a madman, it will still be very useful in teambattles.
I cannot stress this last point enough. The reason suicide techies gets bashed so often is because people take it too far. The idea is to abuse it as much as possible and still be a good support hero. Remember: you are a support hero who sometimes ganks. Your no true assassin.
Anyways if all goes well you should have a good number of kills. Don’t forget to get some levels in between. Once you get remotes you can start laying those as traps. Use them and statis as wards for your allies.
Your lanemate should be fed.
Suicide in team battles. Obvious.

Middle GameStart to use remote mines more at level 11, until then only a trap or two.
Use remotes as wards.
Statis should be everywhere, as your spending most of your mana on them. This is the benefit of this build. Your not focused on farming or death traps when you’re a suicide techies, and levels past eleven aren’t really necessary. (Lvl 3 remotes are nice, but not necessary). So you can statis more than just about any other form of techies in the game. (Also statis in team battles.)
Suicide is still useful, but no longer the one hit kill it once was. Make sure your suicide isn’t a waste (like if they were going to die anyway. Or if they live. Or if no ally is there for xp.)
Your still pretty strong now, but your prime is ending. Support, do everything you can to help your allies.

Late GameSuicide is basically useless, but by now you should have transitioned to a mining techies.
Mine anything and everything.
If you did bad early on, your probably next to useless now. Atleast don’t harm your team by feeding.
Overall gameplay
Don’t feed. A techies should never feed. Ever. Even if you do terrible, you will not strengthen your enemies.
ADAPT! I still use suicide in mid-game, even when I didn’t get kills earlier. Suicide is a useful tool, and work with your allies to use it, but do not let it overcome your better judgement.

ConclusionI wrote this guide on a whim, as I can’t sleep at the moment. I probably won't be prettying it up, as I find unnecessary things unnecessary. I apoligize for the rapid fire writin style. I wrote this fast, and I assure you it looked better on word.

Suicide techies, under good situations and careful judgement, can be a very effective way to play. Try it. At the best, you’ll find a way of play that you’ll love. At the worst, you will still have a lot of fun.

Thanks for reading my guide. I thank all of the junk food I ate. If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t be concious right now.
