Background Story: Before the invasion of the Scourge, a race of intelligent bears called furbolgs cultivated a quiet spiritual society deep in the heart of Azshara. With most of their kind murdered and corrupted by the Undead, the normally isolated furbolgs were forced to flee to the Sentinel for protection. In return, the furbolgs have sent their mightiest Ursa Warrior into battle on the Sentinel behalf. Enraged by the defilement of his people's sacred land, Ulfsaar is able to channel his fury into a series of extremely quick and brutal swipes, using his razor-sharp claws to overpower his foes and literally tear them apart. The Pros and Cons of the Ursa Warrior: [+] Can be n00b friendly [+] Early Roshan killer! [+] Skills synergize perfectly! [+] High STR [+] High Armor [+] Can take on 5 heroes at once with the right items [+] Quick hero killer with Fury Swipes [-] Can be item dependent [-] Even with 310 MS, still pretty slow for chasing [-] The main target for ganks and clashes [-] Can be hard for n00bs Skills Earthshock ![]() Description: A skill that makes up for the slow movespeed of the Ursa Warrior. The damage is okay but the slow is amazing. Overpower ![]() Description: This is the shovel the Ursa Warrior uses to dig the holes in wounds. At level 4, you can make 6 attacks in less than 3 seconds. Synergizes well with Fury Swipes. Fury Swipes ![]() Description: The primary weapon of the Ursa Warrior. He uses this to dig holes into the bodies of enemies, and when they are deep enough, they EXPLODE! Well, not like Techies, but you know, comparable. Enrage ![]() Description: The great skill that defines the Ursa Warrior. The reason why the Ursa Warrior gets HP items instead of damage items. The reason why he becomes a huge tank-carry. No manacost and 25 seconds cooldown, the ULTIMATE SKILL OF THE URSA WARRIOR! If you randomed: Now, on with the gameplay! Early Game! Take the bottom lane if you are in the Sentinel. Take the top lane if you are in the Scourge. Right after picking the Ursa Warrior, say "I am bot" if you are in the Sentinel or "I am top" if you are in the Scourge. ALWAYS go with an ally in a lane. Always. ALWAYS! NEVER TAKE THE SOLO LANE! NEVER! You ask: WHY?!?!?! Then I say: Because you are an mid-late gamer, your enemies would want to annihilate you early on so you won't OMFGPWN them at mid game. If you do decide to take the solo lane, please, for the love of DotA, please be careful. Deny at your own risk. Last hit at your own risk. If you're planning to get a first blood, lane with one of these dudes: Yep, fellow stunners and slowers. My personal favorite is the Earthshaker, because of the TRAP COMBO!!! This is done best at early game when you are about level 3. Note: I just thought of this idea, might not be new, but I only played the Ursa Warrior recently, and I thought of this. Sorry about the pictures, this is only a demonstration. Step 1: Step 2: Step 3: And that's how to do it. You can also do this with Tuskarr, VS, and almost any other stunner, but ES is the best to do it with. Keep farming and farming. Farming and farming. Hell, grow some corn for all I care. Tomatoes too. Grow whatever a bear eats. Bamboo or something. By the time early game ends, which is usually about 10-12 minutes in game, or even earlier. But when these items are acquired, the early game for the Ursa Warrior is over. Middle Game! The Boots Question: Ahhhh...yes. The Boots question. One of the most famous questions in the history of DotA. Here's a guide to it if you want a guide to it, refer to this: A pubber's guide to the boots. - DotA Guides Here's my argument: It really depends on what you want. No. No. Do not get this for the Ursa Warrior. Even though it makes you OGMGOMOGMGSUPERHELLAPHAST, it costs too much. You could have kept the normal boots and bought a Vanguard. No. If you get this for the Ursa Warrior, go punch yourself in the balls until they explode. That's my Boots Argument. This is MY OPINION, do not flame on this. I know some of you will, but who knows? In this phase of the game, the Ursa Warrior usually ganks a lot with other roamers, like ES or VS. You can even take on the gigantic golem, Roshan. Before you kill Roshan, cast Overpower and Enrage. Attack 12 seconds after you casted both spells. By doing this, you don't have to wait for the cooldown WHILE fighting Roshan. Like dis ppl: Cast both spells. Note that the small icons for the spells are blinking, indicating they are about to expire. When this happens, start killing Roshan. Also, take a look at my items. I took STR Power Treads to help me with HP and Enrage. Here, I just did that. The attacking was too fast, and look how much damage I have inflicted on Roshan. That is with 6 attacks. Roshan slaps me with his gigantic rock-hand-arm thingy. I take about 300 damage, since he slaps me about 3 times. But don't be scared, we can make a comeback. HAHA! I made a comeback, killing him. Look at that treasure! Let's kill it! Wait, don't. It's an Aegis of the Immortal. It will help you a lot. Since you are the main target for ganks, it will help you a LOT. Also note that I gained two levels in killing Roshan. Remember, tell your allies you are going to Solo Roshan. Ask them to watch out and keep guard near Roshan's Area, since your enemies will suspect something. You are the Ursa Warrior, they'll think if you're gone that you are automatically massacring Roshan. True most of the time. There isn't a specific minute you should kill Roshan, since all players differ. But usually all players kill Roshan when they have acquired a Keep farming some more. Gank some more. Gank gank. Gang kill. Gank. If you don't feel like you want to gank some enemy heroes, farm. Farm like there's no tomorrow. After getting a Phase Boots or a Strength Power Treads, whichever one you choose to get, the next step is a decent HP item. That HP item is: Remember to buy Vitality Booster first, because it increases your HP. More HP means a better ultimate, and better damage. After getting the big purple shield with a skull in the middle, or Vanguard for short, you can buy one of two, or both, things. But before buying those two things, I advise on buying this: After buying BKB, if you did, get this/these: AND/OR You can choose one of them, or both. Here's an explanation: This is a good choice. This if you want an element of surpise. But the downside is, it might be hard for some new players. There you have it. When these items are acquired, the middle game is over. Actually, the game should be over. LOL ![]() Late Game! What the hell? The game dragged on? WHAT THE HELL???? It's fine. Just make sure that you don't die. Make sure your team wins. If the game manages to drag on this late, there is one item left to get. Hell yes. The heart. The damn heart. Let's see what heart does:
That's what that damn heart does. Here's the builds. There's a funny thing, when you get 6 hearts.
Never get six hearts. Get only five. If the game is still not over, kill yourself. It should have BEEN OVER! WTF! Other and Rejected Items Here's a list of your friends and foes.
These dudes will help you a lot. They disable the enemy, while you tear the crap out of them.
Basically every disabler is your homie. That's all folks! Thanks for reading! |
