Introduction

Dazzle's ability to babysit and gank from early to late game made it my favorite hero in 6.72f. With new items introduced by icefrog, Dazzle become more versatile then any version before 6.72. Bear one thing in mind is that all skill from Dazzle are based of physical damage, which made him a very different hero from other mages. Another good thing about dazzle is that he can be useful is any kind of game. And in this guide, base on some other game play by competitive player, and from my experience in playing pub, I will introduce the support & ganking dazzle which focus on destroying opponent's armor!

Quick Tips.
1. Shadow Wave has an extremely far range.
2. Shadow Wave can be used to farm and ruin enemy last hit, EVEN AT LEVEL 1.
3. ALL SKILL deals PHYSICAL damage. (not magical damage as oppose to other mages)
4. Grave has a 0.5 sec cast animation, DON'T SAVE UR ALLY UNTIL THE VERY LAST MINUTE.
5. Axe's ultimate go through Grave.
6. Weave can reveal the cast area, and has a huge range. Cast it to an area where your team is going to push in.

Pros and Cons
+ perfect early game babysitter
+ great mid game ganker
+ quite item independent
+ nice attack animation

- late game is not as useful as mid game (diminishing power of damaging skill, but grave is still very critical to teamfight
- very low agi growth, cannot output a big deal of damage in late game
- low base hp, can be shut down easily if opponent focus fire you first. (well, like any other mage)

Picking Dazzle

In professional gaming level, dazzle is seldom ban/choose. But once dazzle is usually choose as a babysit a weak melee. In this case, most of babysitter will give up farming, and focus on harass and deny. While help to gank in mid game, push on in late game etc.

While in pub, Dazzle is welcome in any hero lines up, and seldom be counter picked by Axe / Oblivion / Silencer etc. Because most of the time opponent, and most of the people underestimate the true value of dazzle in a team. So pick dazzle any time you want, unless the other side has Oblivion / Silencer.

Skill Comment / Tips / Tricks / Combos
1. Poison Touch
Description:
Basically this skill is separate to two different part, the first part is all about slow and stun, the 2nd part is only abt the Damage over time, here below are the details

LVL 1
1st second - slow for 33%
2nd - 8th second - 8 damage per second

LVL 2
1st second - slow for 33%
2nd second - slow for 66%
3rd - 9th second - 16 dps

LVL 3
1st second - slow for 33%
2nd second - slow for 66%
3rd second - stun for 1 second
4 - 10th second - 24 damage per second

LVL4
1st second - slow for 33%
2nd second - slow for 66%
3rd second - stun for 1 second
4 - 10th second - 32 damage per second

Tips:
A lvl4 poison touch is bascially a range stun-slow skill with 7 sec CD. which mean it can at least cast twice is a teamfight / chasing up if you have enough mana. The cast range is 600 which is good enough for you to stay back. Always remember don't initiate a teamfight with poision touch, Dazzle can be easily stun to the death without using the best of his ability - Shallow Grave, which i will explain in the following part

2. Shallow Grave
Description:
The most important skill of dazzle, and a truly good dazzle player can use this skill to turn the tide of the whole game.Shallow Grave prevents any damage from killing the targetted hero for 5 seconds. The different between each levels are the Cast Range and cooldown.
A level 4 shallow grave has 1000 range and 15 second cooldown, which means in a normal teamfight shallow grave can cast for at least twice and save 2 immediate death of ur own team. The 1000 range of lvl4 shallow grave actually means dazzle should always stand afar from the battleground and observe teammate's hp closely to give a timely cast of grave.

Tips:
In a gank/teamfight situtaion, Dazzle has one thing to do. KEEP YOUR TEAM ALIVE.
Always position yourself far apart from the major battle ground, which also means keep a distance from your carry but put full attention on the carry/initiator. A good grave yield two results,
1) Enemy team chase the dying fleeing hero for 5 seconds, so your team has a 5 seconds to foucs fire the opposite team chasers.
2) Enemy switch their target and give up the your dying ally. In this time spam your heal while staying back to escort your dying ally to a safe place.
