There are few heroes who are more difficult to kill than the Lord of Avernus. Using his Aphotic Shield, Abaddon can cast barriers around any friendly unit which absorb a set amount of damage before exploding, dealing the absorbed damage back to nearby attackers. When under threat himself, Abaddon uses Borrowed Time, which can give him new life if he is in danger. For several seconds, Borrowed Time reverses the effect of all incoming damage and makes it heal Abaddon instead. Many enemies who were sure of their victory have fallen upon the Lord of Avernus intent on destroying him, only to find him completely healed by their attacks. In addition to his own near-invulnerability, Abaddon can heal allies with his Death Coil spell. At the cost of some of his own life, the Lord of Avernus can either heal an allied unit or damage a foe. Finally, his dread sword Frostmourne imparts some of its unholy powers to its wielder. Any unit struck by this dark blade will be slowed, and any allies of Abaddon who attack the slowed target will gain increased movement and attack speeds. The Lord of Avernus excels at using his abilities on both offense and defense, and can single-handedly turn a losing battle into a victory.
A former paladin of great renown, Abaddon fell into darkness during the invasion of the Burning Legion, becoming possessed by many demons, corrupting both his soul and his powers. Now a Death Knight set high in the Lich King's hierarchy of generals, he rides into battle against impossible odds, never stopping until he reaches the World Tree itself. Whether enhancing his own fortitude with a shield of dark energy, or using his life force to aid in combat, the Lord of Avernus leads the armies of the Scourge ever onward, forever locked in combat with the forces of good, and his enemies who were once his greatest comrades.
Death Coil
Abaddon releases a coil of death that can damage an enemy unit or heal a friendly unit at the cost of some of Abaddon's health.
Aphotic Shield
Summons dark energies around an ally unit, creating a shield that absorbs a set amount of damage before expiring. When the shield is destroyed it will deal damage equal to the amount it absorbed to an area around it. Removes certain types of negative buffs on cast.
Frostmourne
Abaddon strikes an enemy with Frostmourne's chilling power on each attack, causing all units who attack the slowed enemy to gain 15% increased movement speed, along with faster attack speed, for a limited time
Borrowed Time
When activated, most negative buffs will be removed and any damage you take will heal you instead of damage you. If the ability is not in cooldown, it will passively activate when your hitpoints drop below 400 hp.

17.-25. Stats
Justification:
I maxed out Aphotic Shield first because it blocks damage and when received a lot of damage, explodes. Then Frostmourne, it slows your opponent's AS and MS, then Death Coil, because you can use it to last hit enemy heroes that have low life.
Starting Items
Justification:
Sobi Mask is for 50% MP Regen, and those 3 GG Branches are for increased stats, Tangoes are for HP Regen, yes, they're consumable HP Regenerating items. Buy 1-3 of them, then go to your lane.
Early Game
Justification:
Boots of Speed, is standard because LoA needs speed too, Basilius is used for Mana Regen and a +3 Armor boost, which is really helpful, and Wand (WHEN FACING SPAMMERS ONLY), to gain HP and MP burst when in need, and at last 2 PMS, which is a sub for Vanguard and gives a huge boost on AS.
Mid Game
Justification:
PB is a great boost in speed and damage, also gives extra MS when Phasing, Vlad's is for lifesteal and Mana Regen. While the 2 Rings are for HP Regen (for now).
Late Game
Justification:
Vanguard is for 5hp/Sec which is very big and a 70% chance to block 40 damage, and Perseverance is for MP Regen, which is a lot if you're always using Apothic Shield.
Extensions
Justification:
Linken's is an obvious upgrade from Perseverance which grants you to be impervious to certain spells and MP & HP Regen boost, Satanic is for when you are done with Vlad's or if you need more lifesteal, Armlet is for increased damage, Battle Fury?! Yes, that is Battle Fury, why?! LoA can use it for improved farming/MP Regen/HP Regen. Aghanim's Scepter? That is for +10 to ALL ATTRIBUTES, +200 HP, and +150 Mana, also increases the duration of your ultimate.
