Here is another guide by me on juggernaut. Gonna try to explain a bit more how you can play him in different situations. Along with 3 different kinds of jugger and a ton of items from dagger to divine and everything in between. Hope u enjoy a learn some. If im forgetting stuff feel free to tell me.

Why pick Jugger?
  • Fun to play do to a variety of skills
  • Very versatile
  • You can carry the game
  • It is a great team hero
  • If you like to farm
  • Great ulti, strong throughout the game
  • Pretty easy last hitter

Why not pick Jugger?
  • Low hp hero
  • Melee hero
  • Low mana pool

Skills:

Blade fury

One of the best lvl 1 spells in the game. This can help you get FB or escape it due to the magic immunity. If you are laning with lets say maiden, take the down lane if you are on the sentinel or top when you are on the scourge. Block the creeps a bit with jugger and let maiden come from the woods. Start attacking at the same time. Maiden from the back and you from the front. Make sure you both agreed to attack the hero with the least hp or the one with the easiest position to kill. Maiden should get a few hits of before she casts NOVA, and you should start spinning by then. After NOVA maiden can get maybe 2 or 3 more hits.
You can use it to farm creeps and to harrash you opponents. If you dont have any extra mana regen with you, spin at lvl 1 and 3. THen farm till lvl 6/7 and kill them. If you have a combo lane or a trilane you are most def going to get some more kills in between
However do not keep attacking with your spin until it runs out. Run back just before it runs out because if you are facing 2 casters you might end up dying yourself. This is only the case when you are harrashing, if you are going to kill them you should dmg them as much as you can ofcourse.

Be prepared for "weird" direction changes, so keep clicking your mouse near the hero you are chasing. Working with slow is the easiest thing for jugger, easier then stun.

Once you bought a pair of boots (phase boots are best for this) and lets say a bottle you can gang and roam. Phase boots are the cheapest boots that give you a higher then normal boots MS.

Things you should know about Blade fury:
  • It deals magical dmg
  • Does not work on mechanical or ethearel units.
  • When spinning near mechanical units u can attack these with your normal attack.
  • If you spin with an orb, the orb will still have effect, you have to click attack and then on the hero. Skadi will slow them and deso will give minus 6 armor to the unit u click on.
  • U can use items during the spin. Hex, shivas, dagon, PHASE, Boots of travels and many more.

Healing ward

One of the best healing spells in the game. Not only does it heal 5% of your hitpoints per second but is an AOE heal. No doubt your team will benefit from this spell. It can be used after combat to heal your team. But also during. Because it is such a powerfull heal on high HP heroes it can be used very well during combat. The ward is very fragile so make sure you place it in a difficult to kill spot. Out of sight or right in the middle of chaotic fight with lots of creeps arround it so they have trouble clicking on it and melee units cant reach it or lose their focus from you. This however is a late game spell because it relies on your HP which is low during the early stages of the game. U also dont have the mana pool to use the ward along with your spin and ulti.

Blade Dance

Is a passive every late gamer envies. Crit is a passive every lategamer wants to have. Either as a skill or with buriza. This ofcourse is a late game passive. The more high dmg items you have the more effect this will have. This passive also benefits from high AS and works great with your ulti.

Omnislash

The famous ulti that makes people say: one click noob hero. Ofcourse this isnt true. This ulti is one of the most fun ulties in the game. Mainly because you can change it to your own ways. Because it can be very powerfull but also completely useless. It does require skill. People know Jugger is dangerous when there are no creeps arround so they will stick arround the creeps even when they are on low hp and this is where the game begins.

People can escape from your ulti, and you can improve your ulti with items. Anything goes.

Things you should know about omnislash:
  • Ethearel units make jugger stop his ulti completely. In previous versions he would still continue to slash but just not deal any dmg.
  • Can be improved with Aghanim's Scepter
  • It will stop channeling units, if this however is the first unit u attack with your slash.
  • Each slash deals 150-250 dmg
  • Dmg type is physical
  • U can use items during the slash, dagon, phase, dagger, hex, mom.
  • With enough AS you can deal additional dmg with your own attack, this is where your orb takes action.
  • Slashes cant be avoided by evasion, the normal attacks can be.
  • You become invulnerable
  • Omnislash can be stopped by a shade.
When to use Omnislash?

The main moment to use omnislash is without creeps arround ofcourse. This however isnt always the case, and there are still a variety of situations where you want to use it differently.

If you are scouting the enemies woods and you find a hero moving from one spot to another, are you going to spin first or slash first? If you are alone you have to slash him, because it needs to be a quick hit and run. You find him at the perefect moment and friends are gonna come over to help him. You do not want to waste your ulti on them too. If you are targeting a large hp hero like Rex, Axe, Naix or Cent. You can still spin right after you slash to finish off the last bits of hp and tp out of there.

If you are facing a 1v1 on the lane with creeps arround, it might better for you to kill the creeps with your spin instead of the following the hero. Go in with the intention to kill the hero but if he starts running away from u but not as far as you like him to be for your ulti. Just choose to kill the rest of the creeps and then either you have some farm and damaged your opponent, or you have both and a kill. If you choose to spin and kill the hero but he dodges enough of your spin and you are still fighting arround creeps he can rape your ass depending on the stage of the game.

If you are low hp in a teamfight, you should not go back to base. Stick arround, but be aware of the enemies position. Your ulti can still help kill heroes that have escaped the team fight. Find them on their way to base and kill them with your ulti. Your ulti is a very effective clean up skill, meaning you can clean up what is left of the team fight. You also have your healing ward which u can use to heal up.

Nowhere else to go scenario's exist too. When the situation occurs where you have nowhere to run and nowhere to hide and you are almost dead. You can choose to use your ulti. Why? Because this may buy you the time you need to use blade fury for the second time and escape. Because it can dramatically change the position you are and you might be able to juke out of there during Blade fury. U can use a healing ward during the slash eventhough this rarely helps you in a situation like this. Perhaps you can deal enough dmg to certain heroes that it will scare them off and run back. If you have a lifesteal orb, you can gain some HP. If you have a Mask Of Madness make sure to activate this for extra HP gain and dealing extra dmg. If you have satanic activate this during your slash and you will come out with full HP. If you have satanic i would find it rare you would find yourself in such a situation in the first place but you never know.

It is best for your team to fight in the woods and on the rivers. Rosh is a great place to be for your team.

Skill Order:

1 Blade fury
2 Stats
3 Blade fury
4 Stats
5 Blade fury
6 Omnislash
7 Blade fury
8 Stats
9 Blade dance
10 Blade dance
11 Omnislash
12 Blade dance
13 Blade dance
14 Healing ward
15 Healing ward
16 Omnislash
17 Healing ward
18 Healing ward
19 Max stats

You need to skill stats early on otherwise you wont have enough mana for blade fury and omnislash at lvl 6 and 7. Ofcourse this can be solved by a magic wand or wraith bands. But then you are item dependend. Another reason why you should skill stats is the HP bonus and the last hit dmg. Bonus stats always are and advantage early on in the game, Why does everyone buy braces and wood branches? All of your others skills are late game skills, blade dance and healing ward.

What Items and Why?
There are a ton of items that have a certain function on jugger and can work really well. It all depends on the game, your farm your opponents and your teammates. Im gonna explain why certain items can be chosen in certain situations and what the downsides are to certain builds. I am also gonna discuss 3 different kinds of Jugger!

Starting Item's

A chicken in the current version is 170 gold. Buy it, so you dont rely on your teammates for it. It is really cheap. These are the items I get the last couple of games. Basically solo play items.

This should be enough for you to farm either a magic wand or a bottle. Which is the least you should be able to get. The stout shield protecs you against harrashment. If you are facing Shadow demon or BB or PA you can choose to get a magic stick right from the start. Since you have a chicken u can still get this. Stout shield also protects you against the creeps and you can go woods after you have a bottle with a stoutshield.

When playing with teammates and combo's. You can choose to get some stat boosting items along with tangos and clarities.

When facing immense casters you can get a magic stick from the start.

Examples for other starting item builds:

Or

Or

What Boots and why?

Phase Boots:
Because they give you the bonus dmg and ms you need to pwn early game.

Boots of travel:
For extra MS, for extra survivability (TP during Blade fury), for extra good farm but you are also gonna need a pretty good farm to get these in the first place. And for extra mobility to supporting your teammate in battle and pushing tactics.

Power Treads:

This is a good late game option if you need to win some heavy late gamer battles with head to head combat. Its also a good option if your farm is poor and you need some extra hp in the early game. You can also put them on int for extra blade furies while farming the woods. The downside to this option is the movement speed. Its low compared to phase and travels.

3 different kinds of Jugger

I think there are 3 different kinds of jugger for different situations. Ofcourse u can always meet somewhere in the middle it just all depends on the game you are playing. I will explain all three, what the purpose of the build is and what items will help you achieve the goal.

  • Try to catch me Jugger
  • Late game carry Jugger
  • Early and mid game Jugger

Try to catch me Jugger
Jugger benefits a lot from high movement speed. It makes it easier for you but it might also be needed if you are facing enemies with a higher then normal movement speed. With this build and style of playing the opponent will have a hard time killing you and you can go and stand where you want. It also helps you in chasing down heroes and escaping from heroes with your high MS in combination with your Blade fury. It is also gonna help you initiate the fight even better and come out alive every time you want to. The down side to this build is that you are not living up to your potential but it should be enough to win the game. That is why this is a build you need to get when facing a lot of casters, disablers and aoe heroes.

This build is also a lot of fun to play.

Phase boots, provide you the early bonus MS you need to kill some heroes with blade fury followed by a last hit. If you stay close enough and your blade fury doesnt kill the hero your last hit might be able to do so. You no longer have to rely on slow or stuns from teammates. Just activate your phase and you will catch up.

OR
Boots of Travel with boost your MS and increase your farming potential and hero killing potential as well. However it takes longer to farm and this is the down side to it. Phase boots are easier to get and the moment you have some Bonus MS you are officialy dangerous. U can TP during blade fury and escape gangs. If you have phase boots carry TP scrolls and do the same.

Ofcourse gives you the WW ability. But also provides bonus MS. You can use this item during Blade fury to. So its a great way to initiate a fight with Blade fury and run out with your lothars just before Blade fury ends. This way you have led your teammates to battle start the fight and you can dodge the big ultis and disables. And come back in the fight to dominate all. Ofcourse u can also use it run away from a gang. If they have dust it will still provide you bonus MS during Blade fury. Make sure to activate blade fury then phase boots and then lothars.

Manta gives you bonus HP, Dmg, Mana, MS and 2 images. This item is a must for this build. It really boosts your MS and the images can be used to dodge certain stuns such as venge's stun. Also works well with your healing ward as it provides HP and Mana.

Avatar for when all hell breaks loose. Kill opponents in the team fight with your normal attack. You need to get this if you are still having problem evading most disables and dmg.

For offensive purposes against casters to prevent them from disabling you. Use manta and start attacking them. Bash will prevent them from running since casters are going to want to cast before the run it will be to late since they are gonna be bashed. It also doenst take to many hits in general to kill a caster.

late game carry Jugger

This is the carry jugger if you have a team that supports you. There are still several versions and ways you can go. This depends on your opponents heroes, your own farm and your teammates heroes. This build provides you with mass dmg and enough HP and armor to survive heavy battles. The first thing you do on this hero is increase your dmg dramatically. The bonus HP should be added to your hero when you feel it is gonna be needed. If you are starting to die to fast it is already to late. Keep an eye on your enemies farm and be one step ahead of them. With this build you can go face to face with heroes such as magina, naix and pa.

Treads are you best option here, im assuming that your teammates will provide the disables and slow. You rely on your ulti and on face to face combat with normal attacks. After treads Phase boots are your best option for increased DMG and a slight gain in MS.

AND

The helm of Iron will provides you the early game regen and armor you need to survive on the lane and in the game. Making it a helm of dominator will give you 20 bonus dmg and a decent ammount of lifesteal with a battlefury on the side. Make it satanic if you need the HP and extra lifesteal. The extra HP works great with your healing ward. U can activate this item during omnislash for a guaranteed lifesteal and a little bit extra dmg.

Battlefury is a very atractive item for jugger but not always the best item. In pubs it comes in very handy because it provides both mana and hp regen. It gives the dmg you need and improves your farm with its cleave. For not a lot of gold. How ever you could be getting a MKB or Butterfly instead to head toward a more imba jugger build. It just depends on how active you are in killing heroes. Sometimes a bottle or maiden or witch doc doesnt provide enough mana and hp regen. This is a good additional option.

This item can't be missed on this build. It gives you everything you need. Massive dmg, a mini bash, and true strike. Its what you need to face the heroes with evasion. Pwn riki in his cloud and see PA running out of fear.

Agi hero needs the best agi item.

I dont get radi very often on jugger. Simply because its hard to farm and its not needed on jugger to pwn. Radi is mainly a good item for high HP heroes. However it gives jugger a lot dmg. Radi is also a great item for chases, which is a reason why you can get it on jugger. It works great with your spin. It also works very well against heroes with a dagger. So think about it before you get it, can you really use this item in this game?

Massive dmg. Get it with aegis if you can. You do not want to lose this item. Works well with MKB and high AS. Survivability is key when you have this item.

If you dont go satanic on a late game Jugger you can chose to go different ways but still pwn in late game:

One of the most used orb effects on jugger and for good reason. -6 armor on a poor lost soul that is being slashed is very effective.

Provides massive AS for extra dmg in your ulti along with the lighting orb.

Since you are lacking Lifesteal on this build. I would recommend getting it with Heart and perhaps also with AC. Heart works great with your heal. And you shouldnt be wasting your invent spots with vlads in a late game build. Have a teammate get it.

Massive regen with your healing ward. And more HP to drain for your enemies.

Provides you with a lot of armor and AS, also helps your teammates and takes armor of your enemies. Works well with deso. If you already have Mjollnir and Butterfly you could skip this and just get a Heart. Should be sufficient.

early and mid game Jugger:

This build is for early and mid game ownage. It is not really needed for casters or late gamers in specific but could solve some other problems. If you are not the main carry this is what you could do to help your team out. Think about a potm kind of role.

Cheap but effective early on. Gives dmg and ms. You know the other qualities of the others boots by now and when and why you could get them.

Provides early game regen and protection. Gives you the ability

Diffusal to help slow heroes to finish them off. Also works against illusions and summons. Think about the gollums from Warlock. The mana steal works well against heroes like Dusa. And other heroes that need their mana dearly such as magina and storm.

Builds up in parts, providing a little bit of everything but not worth an item spot for a late game build. Too expensive and not enough increased power of your ultimate. Your shouldnt rely on your ulti in late game too much anyway. Which is why you can get this in an early or middle game build.

Cheap item, Works well with your vanguard. Gives you so much needed armor and mana. And a little bit of dmg which is always a good thing for jugger.

Cheap item that builds up in parts. Provides mana and lifesteal but you can still choose an orb.

Hero Combo's and "counters":

Combo's:
The best combo's are not stun, its slow. If you are on a tri-lane stun and slow both work best. The down side of working with the WD is that there is bigger chance that WD will get a kill instead of you. The chance of killing however is very large and you will have a better farm and more exp.

Ofcourse all other stunners and disablers and slowers work with jugger, These are just the combo's that I think work best.

A special mention:

Can provide you with infinite mana. This way you can farm in your woods like crazy, profit from double pulling creep spots by attacking and running away with the creeps at min X and 52 sec. Make sure you have regen and a stout shield.

"Counters" to Jugger:
These are heroes that have a skill to counter jugger, or not jugger friendly heroes. And yes ofcourse its all debatable that void and magina and naix are stronger, just depends on the game. These are heroes that can counter jugger on low lvls as well.

Doom goes through bladefury. His ulti counters everyone and everything. Which is probably why its called doom.

If tiny tosses jugger during bladefury it will stop.

Decriptify will counter your precious ulti.

With banish they can escape from your ulti and from a lot of dmg from your blade fury.

The net works on blade fury. So you become useless on a lane. Naga is also a combo but you'd rather not share a lane with another agi farmer.

Magina can blink out of your ulti at any moment.

Be careful attacking axe early in the game, his spin might be stronger then yours. Berserker call still works in blade fury so in late game this might be a bit annoying too. His ulti also goes through blade fury.

Just like with axe you have to carefull when attacking this hero on your own. He will kill you through your blade fury.

Other heroes that have the skillset to escape your ulti:

As i mentioned before, Jugger benefits greatly from high MS. With heroes that are able to escape with blink or jump or something else does not mean you have to fail. After your spin or head to head combat wait for them to flee and try to predict where they are going to flee too. Run there and you high ms might be able to compensate the distance. Slash them there and there is no problem. However be aware of the positions of the other heroes they might come to help and you should be prepared to act accordingly.

Other item options for fun or dynamic playing:

Do not forget to activate this item during you omnislash for exta AS and additional hits. Also grants Bonus MS while chasing down a hero. Works well with a basher and yasha.

Spin>ulti>dagger>ulti. Do i need to say more?

If you mastered jugger and are playing against low hp heroes and are feeling confident you are going to pwn the game.

To accentuate the powers of your ultimate. Also gives you some bonus HP MANA and dmg.

Only do this when you have agha. But its a lot of fun. Not working against massive late gamers though.

Silence a hero slash his ass and kill him. Gives you dmg AS and mana regen.

HP, MANA, DMG and Slow. Very expensive and not the best orb for jugger.

Replays:

CM IH game where supporters only deny and harrash and let me farm. See how you can combine farm and killing heroes. Also a very entertaining game with lots of action.

Another IH game, the players were a little less, my play however wasnt and this one has more team clashes in it. Also has some replay worhty action in it from my side. Was able to farm a sacred relic in this game with phase and a bottle. Normally radiance isnt a great item but i did it to piss some dude off in my team.
