Lucifer, the Doombringer
This is my first guide so any comment is acceptable.
I have a VERY different Doombringer style.
Pros 'n' Cons:
[+] Incredible Strength
[+] Good Base Damage
[+] Has the greatest melee range (which can help farm and last hit)
[+] Has a nice farming spell, Devour
[+] Has a awsome nuking spell, LVL? Death
[+] LVL? Death stops channeling spells.
[+] Great attack and movement speed thanks to Scorched Earth
[+] Doom deals great DPS and silences at the same time.
[-] Low Agility
[-] Doom's DPS is not very useful late game (especially against tanks)
[-] Doom CAN trigger Abaddon's Borrowed Time and that way it CAN be dispelled, so wait for the right moment to cast!
[-] Devour makes him visible to enemies
Help me out by posting some cons
Strength: 26 + 3.2

Lucifer was the leader of the Doomguard attack force of the burning legion in the first attack by the dark lord Sargeras. With his original master long gone, Lucifer grants his undying loyalty to the Scourge to finish what his lord once started. Devouring the insignificant for his greed while dissipating the souls of those brave and strong enough to withstand his strength and the heat of his fiery haven of burning earth, Lucifer takes no prisoners and makes sure those who persevere through his wrath die by the agonizing and burning pain of Doom itself.
Swallows an enemy unit for a short period of time, digesting it and dealing minor damage. Each level decreases the cooldown and mana cost and gives bonus gold when the devoured unit is killed.
Level 1 - 10 bonus gold, can be used on up to Lvl 1 creeps.
Level 2 - 20 bonus gold, can be used on up to Lvl 2 creeps.
Level 3 - 30 bonus gold, can be used on up to Lvl 4 creeps.
Level 4 - 40 bonus gold, can be used on up to Lvl 6 creeps.
Mana Cost: 50/45/40/35
Nice farming spell. Cast it on creeps with low hp else enemies will detect you. Lucifer can last hit, not only Devour for gold!
Blankets the ground in flames, damaging enemies and healing the Doombringer. Also increases Lucifer's attack and movement speed. Lasts 20 seconds.
Level 1 - Damages enemies / Heals Lucifer for 1 HP per second. Increases the movement and attack speed of Lucifer by 10%.
Level 2 - Damages enemies / Heals Lucifer for 2 HP per second. Increases the movement and attack speed of Lucifer by 15%.
Level 3 - Damages enemies / Heals Lucifer for 3 HP per second. Increases the movement and attack speed of Lucifer by 20%.
Level 4 - Damages enemies / Heals Lucifer for 4 HP per second. Increases the movement and attack speed of Lucifer by 30%.
Mana Cost: 60
Grants Lucifer regeneration and reduces enemies' regeneration rate. Increases attack and movement speed by a great percentage. Along with your tanking abilities this spell ensures your target's death. It can be used to dispel salve and bottle.
Dissipates a piece of a target's soul. Deals 250 bonus damage if the target's level is a multiple of a specific number or 25.
Level 1 - Deals 100 damage. Deals 250 bonus damage if the level of the target is a multiple of 6.
Level 2 - Deals 150 damage. Deals 250 bonus damage if the level of the target is a multiple of 5.
Level 3 - Deals 200 damage. Deals 250 bonus damage if the level of the target is a multiple of 4.
Level 4 - Deals 250 damage. Deals 250 bonus damage if the level of the target is a multiple of 3.
Mana Cost: 85/105/125/145
Can deal up to 500 damage and has a cooldown of 8!!! Mini-stuns interrupting channeling spells. Wait until your enemies reach a Lvl multiple of 3 to cast in order to deal double damage. No more comments...
The target unit becomes inflicted with Doom. The afflicted unit cannot cast spells and will take damage per second. Can be improved by Aghanim's Scepter.
Level 1 - Deals 40 (50) damage per second for 12 (14) seconds.
Level 2 - Deals 60 (70) damage per second for 14 (16) seconds.
Level 3 - Deals 80 (90) damage per second for 16 (18) seconds.
Mana Cost: 150/200/250
Units afflicted by Doom can be denied by their allies when their HP drops below 25% of their maximum health. Unlike other silences, Doom prevents the target from using nasty items like Lothar's and disables some passive abilities. I repeat that Doom CAN trigger Abaddon's Borrowed Time and that way it CAN be dispelled, so wait for the right moment to cast! Use on stunners, disablers and nukers as main targets. Target it on Butcher after he activates Rot - but the bad thing is that he may kill himself. Also target it on heroes with Armlet after they activate it - Armlet can't kill them.
5.Scorched Earth/Devour/LVL? Death*
7.Scorched Earth/Devour/LVL? Death*
Free style after Lvl 7.
Why lvlup Scorched Earth:
At Lvl 1 it gives:
- 1 hp/sec
- 1 damage/sec to enemies
- 30 bonus movement speed
- 10% attack speed
At Lvl 4 it gives:
- 4 hp/sec
- 4 damage/sec to enemies
- 75 bonus movement speed
- 25% attack speed
Leveling up Devour improves your farming ability, but not your killing ability. While you are farming your enemies are farming. Maybe not that fast, but their farming. So by lvling up Scorched Earth u gain more potential to kill heroes, receiving the bounty and crippling their farming. This works even better on item dependant heroes. Also, either u believe it or not lvl 3 or 4 can actually kill creeps. And don't tell me u have never seen this.
*Try reaching higher lvls than your enemies by going to a lane with two enemy heroes alone (avoid disablers). If u don't, leave LVL? Death at Lvl 2 for the extra damage. Example: You are Lvl 5 and u have an agi and a str hero on your lane that have reached only the 4th Lvl. Use Scorched Earth, hit the agi hero 3 or 4 times and then LVL? Death him/her - 450 damage - FIRST BLOOD!!!
Boots of Speed: No comments.
Ring of Basilius: RoB is a good item; it increases yours and your allies' armor and mana regen.
Bottle: For more Devour farming, LVL? Death nuking and rune storing. A bottled DD or Regeneration is especially useful. If u can't afford it buy 2 salves.
Ring of Regeneration: RoR is for Vladmir's and the regeneration Scorched Earth does not provide at early Lvls.
Vladmir's Offering: Vladmir's gives a nice damage bonus since Lucifer has great base damage and the attack speed Scorched Earth gives is a great combination with lifesteal, along with the armor and mana regen aura.
Power Treads: I belive they're the best boots for Lucifer because he has no real need for speed with SnY, they grant attack speed, and of course a 10 STR bonus.
Phase Boots: The extra speed and damage are not really needed but the zero collision size and the armor bonus are very useful.
Sange and Yasha: SnY, Treads and Scorched Earth give u almost maximum speed. If your enemy gets maimed u have a certain kill (except he's Lycanthrope morphed).
Aftercore and Luxury Items :
Aghanim's Scepter: Aghanim's makes Doom even more imba and is a must.
Radiance: Helps distance farming and chasing (and +60 damage of course).
Orchid Malevolence: Gives u more attack speed, mana, mana regen, +40 damage and Soul Burn. Use Soul Burn and Doom on 1 target to deal more damage, or on different targets to silence both of them.
Assault Cuirass: Attack speed, armor, tougher allies, weaker enemies. U need anything else?
Buriza-do Kyanon: More damage and 1/5 hits are critical, while your attack speed is deadly.
Eye of Skaldi: Instead of SnY. Better with Phase Boots.
BKB: Basic Anti-Disable Item. Helps chasing and escaping when enemies have at least one stun or disable.
Force Staff: Attack speed, Intelligence, EXTRA FUN!!!
Lucifer is not really item dependant, but with the ordinary spellcaster build he owns early and mid game, but with his spells alone he cannot survive late game (unless your enemies are n00bs). So with this build he can own through the whole game if u are careful and have some skill. Oh, and avoid suicide. The time u are losing burning in hell costs lots of farming.
Makes your attack animation longer and gives u nothing u really need. OK, the mana regen is nice!
LOL LOL LOL
Heart of Tarrasque
For pure tank or low str heroes. Not recommended.
Other Orb Effects
Your orb effect should be either SnY or Skaldi.
Boots of Travel
I call them boots of sucking. Phase boots have replaced them.
Zeus and Mercurial: If Doom doesn't do the job they will.
Viper, Traxex and other ranged slowers: No comments.
Tauren Chieftain: This guy is your best friend. He makes your spells deadly and slows at the same time!
Abaddon: It's all over the guide.
