Reagents:

Damage: 100-475 based on exort
Mana cost: 175
Cooldown: 30 seconds
Cast range: Global
AOE: 175
Effects: Damages enemies in the area. Damage is shared between the targets in the AOE of the spell.
Damage scaling: 100 / 162.5 / 225 / 287.5 / 350 / 412.5 / 475
Sunstrike is extremely strong nuke that has global cast range and that makes you a global threat. At level 13 when you got exort maxed you can drop the strike on enemy during ganks that happen far away from you and that way aid greatly your allies. This is good spell to get low hp enemies down no matter where they try to hide. Sunstrike is probably Invoker's hardest spell to land properly because there are so many things that you need to think before you land the spell, movement speed, items, skills, hero model size are the major things that you need to think always before casting.
Aiming the Sunstrike
Sunstrike has 1.7 delay before the actualy spell and it has pretty small AOE so you might have problems on Sunstrike landing.
Lets have look at Sunstrike's AOE and the actual animation:
Aoe of Sunstrike:
This is the animation that is played on the AOE where the actual spell is going to land
And this is the actual Sunstrike animation
What factor do i need to remember when i aim Sunstrike?
There are several different things that you always need to think before you aim sunstrike. Lets have look on this following images (i did this in single player game so i can explain better):
1st image: Here you can see me at the fountain and Cm on the bottom lane. Lets think that this Cm is my enemy and she has very low hp and that if i succeed, she will die to my Sunstrike
2nd image. Here you see the enemy Rylai that has very low hp. Also notice her inventory. (See the amazing Paint editing on Rylai's hp bar
)
3a) image. This is Rylai running back to fountain. I need to remember her increased MS when i aim. I know this is far from perfect but i couldn't get any better. I tested this, Sunstrike would hit rylai. Also remember that actualy spell is larger than the X on the image
3b) image. This is the other option. Instead of going back to fountain Rylai decides to use tango to recover hp. To hit her i need to aim the trees which Rylai could use.
What skills will i need to think before i aim??

There are skills that make enemy invisible or magic immune and there are blinks. These are the skills that can make aiming hard especially when the enemy you are aiming is chased by another of your allies. The trick is to think further than your enemy.
Example situation:
You are at the fountain watching scene where your ally Magnus is chasing enemy magina. They are currently in Scourge bottom lane and magina is running towards sentinel tower. You wait for Magina to blink so you know that the spell is on cooldown to make sure he wont get away. As soon as Magina blinks away from your ally Magnus you land Sunstrike 750 (depending on magina's MS, this time he had normal boots) range away from Magina's current position. Boom! You got your self a kill.
Special mentions
This dude here is one sick sunstrike avoider. He has 4 sec max movement speed invisibility and he has his Time lapse ulti which takes him back in time. Can be very hard to Sunstrike.
Yep this guy is called Riki martin.. eh i mean Rikimaru. After lvl 6 he is invisible when he is not attacking. And if he has low hp he wont be attacking so he is invisible. Very hard to Sunstrike after level 6.
Here we have Meepo. Remember the fact that Sunstrike shares it's damage when there are multiple targets in AOE? Yeah, sharing is good but no in this case. If meepo player keeps all of his little moles in one pack it is almost impossible to kill the weak one. Extremely hard to kill if there are many meepos close to each other.
