Guide v0.1 (Unfinished)
[Personal Introduction]
Now this is probably the first guide I've ever set to do. For what reasons? I myself know not. But I just felt like it(Or maybe I'm really just too bored slacking off at work).
So anyways, most of this are through my experiences and testing, so if you think I ripped this guide off you, think again. I don't bother to read guides, so I don't know how am I supposed to rip anything off you.
I will rate the hero with:
"Total-Newbie Friendliness" - This means how easy would this hero be, if a total newbie who just started meddling with dota, used this hero.
"Newbie Friendliness" - This means how easy would it be if a normal player used it without much experience.
"Pro Friendliness" - This means how powerful this hero is if an experienced player utilized this hero.
I will not bother copy pasting the hero story here, nor will I talk about his stats, cause you can obviously check those yourself and those information and basically quite useless(To me anyways). I will be only touching on how to use his skills, how to kill, and his item builds.
Without further ado, lets start cracking.
[Introduction]
First things first, introduction to Phantom Lancer.
Who is this?
The character that seems to be modelled off Kimahri of FFX and even carries the same weapon.
What does he do?
He carries, deals damage, he kills.
Why him?
Because he's easy to use, easy to manage, and can kick ass pretty hard.
What did I mean when I said he's easy to use?
Well, go figure, with a skill that slows, and a skill that lets you go invisible, you don't need much brain to run.
When to choose him?
Almost any situation other than times when opponent has many AOE then perhaps you should re-consider when choosing PL. PL's worst enemy should be ES(You get smashed up pretty badly).
Total-Newbie Friendliness: 2/5
Noob Friendliness: 4/5
Pro Friendliness: 4/5
[Item Build]
Well, PL being a killer hero, obviously needs killer item. What makes PL more superior than other killer hero is that if they farm fast enough, they can pretty much kill throughout the entire game.
Starting Items:

Why?
2x Slippers are for your last hit capabilities
2x Ironwood Branch are to slightly boost your HP, Mana and abit of your damage too
Tango are self explanatory
Mid-Game Items:

Why?
Power Treads, why not the other shoes? Cause those don't grant you attack speed, you need more attack speed to increase your probability of having more images on your side. The faster you hit, the faster you produce.
Diffusal Blade, why not others? Well, images burn mana as well, added with the purge, stacking with your own slow, you can kick ass pretty well with just this item alone. Even spammers will think about engaging. How to fully utilize this weapon will be later on.
Vladmir's Offering, why not HOD? Don't ask such a stupid question, Diffusal is orb effect, so get Vladmir and grant every Melee on your team that life leech that ever so often makes that difference between life and death. This is a really decent item on PL, it even increases your damage, mana regen and armor. It's one hell of an aura item that you must have.
Late-Game Items:

or
Why?
The Butterfly, grants you dodge and attack speed, very vital, I'll speak about alternate items below, but this is pretty kickass if you manage to get this fast enough you're almost sure to win the game.
Monkey King Bar, grants you attack speed and true strike, I wouldn't recommend this item though if opponent doesn't have heroes which can dodge, but this item pretty much kicks ass too.
