Intro

Abaddon

A former paladin of great renown, Abaddon fell into darkness during the invasion of the Burning Legion, becoming possessed by many demons, corrupting both his soul and his powers. Now a Death Knight set high in the Lich King's hierarchy of generals, he rides into battle against impossible odds, never stopping until he reaches the World Tree itself. Whether enhancing his own fortitude with a shield of dark energy, or using his life force to aid in combat, the Lord of Avernus leads the armies of the Scourge ever onward, forever locked in combat with the forces of good, and his enemies who were once his greatest comrades.

He is just great. Well,’ balanced hero and has a good support capacity any other heroes in his lane. Pro-Abaddon is a little bit of all the Abaddon roles with efficient usage. The presence of your hero, in this case Abaddon, is a key to great gameplay.

Abaddon is a: Tank, Carry, Support, Chaser, Utility, Slower, Babysitter, Farmer and Initiator
Abaddon is not a: Disabler, Nuker (debatable), item-dependent hero

As you can see Abaddon could play many roles and may vary accordingly. As I said Pro-Abaddon is a little bit of all his roles.

Primary Stat: Strength

Stat Gain:

Basically, his stat gain is great for beef ups, tanking, regen, last hitting, spamming and manapool raising.

First Skill

Death Coil is a heal/nuke skill with only a mana cost of 75 mana.The hp cost does not give a shit because of many reasons : you being a strength type hero, having aphotic shield on and more to enumerate.





Second Skill

Aphotic Shield could buy you and your ally some h.p., deliver some damage, threaten your enemies and change creep equilibrium. One peculiar feature of this skill is being a buff remover which is useful for some cases.

Frostmourne......This bitch is my favorite skill because of my very useful tactic. E.g. Your creeps are focused on one creep preferably the melee creep, attack it once then all the creeps attacking it would gain Attack Speed. This skill is also used in chasing heroes in lane because of the slow and movement speed given.


Ultimate


Borrowed Time is given to Abaddon for a reason. Since he could easily change the creep equilibrium then he may always stay close to the tower. Almost every time you have mana and your last skill is not in cool down plus an ally you could go right into the tower and hit and run at ease.

Builds

Skill build
1.Shield (lane with a harasser e.g. Lanaya and babysit useful in tri-lane if ever)
2.Coil (heal or nuke it does not matter it’s good for your lane)
3.Frostmourne (this is when you start staying close to the tower NOTE try to farm by now)
4.Stats (if you’re gonna Pro-Abaddon you will need it plus the mana and strength)
5.Shield (more protection plus 1:1 ratio of duration to cooldown)
6.Borrowed (survivability plus early-game tank capacity)
7.Coil (this is to start the harass and make them stay away from exp.)
8.Shield (right arround now you should have mana to spam this)
9.Frostmourne (you could use the push strat now that you could kill easily)
10.Shield (lesser cooldown more tank capacity... Maxed out)
11.Borrowed (much could happen in a second, increases tank capacity)
12.Coil (k.s. And emergency heal for allies also makes shield on yourself explode)
13.Coil (if you lost a clash and foes chase you and no Ulti and down 125 hp deny youself)
14.Frostmourne (you could use some attack speed as a carry about now)
15.Frostmourne (this skill could set if slowed and you have some allies)
16.Borrowed (this late game you become somewhat immortal)
17-25. Stats

Generally this build will be used to your roles and the next build is


3-5 mins:

Farm with this until you get

8 mins:

2-3 Town Portals (refill if necessary)

At this point you start ganking and never be late at a fight. Get some kills and assists and work on a core.

14-17 mins:
Phase Boots
Quelling Blade
Soul Ring
Radiance


At this point save for buy backs and your next luxury (NOTE from this point onwards save for buybacks)

23-25/28 mins:

Phase Boots
Quelling Blade
Soul Ring
Radiance
Aghanim’s Scepter

Time for late game where your carry potential is put to the test.

30 mins onwards:

Boots of Travel
Radiance
Aghanim’s Scepter
Assault Cuirass
Satanic
Buriza-Do Kyanon


Use Satanic when health is half then use passive Borrowed Time this will make you stay in team fights longer as Assault Cuirass, Radiance, Buriza-Do Kyanon helps in your carry.


Gameplay

In reference to the item builds.

Start

Play cool last-hit and don’t get hit. Don’t die. At lvl 2 start supporting your lane mate.

3-5 mins
Baby your lane mate and keep harassing now that you have soul ring.


8 mins

Kill the people in your lane then gank. Passive up phase boots and push different lanes. Get kills here and there and don’t die.

12 mins

If you have an ally with a capacity to kill roshan at this point of the game plead to get the aegis

14-17 mins

Now you have a core use it in team fights just keep ganking and start saving for buy backs. This should suppress your enemies in their farming.


23-25/28 mins


around this point your enemies may have already built their cores so you would like to have a really decent amount of money plus a luxury item.

30 mins


Since you are not supposed to die your buy back money should be in tact then maybe get some attack power and go to carry mode. Also get a Boots of Travel and maximize your presence in the map.
