Why play jug??
juggernaut has a very strong skill set, and he can almost fill the roles of most heros. this makes him a very good all rounder. he has many good item builds, but for this guide we will only be focusing on one(along with alternatives).
For complete stats, click below:
Juggernaut - DotA Hero Details
Blade(F)ury
this skill is handy and effective skill throughout the game, despite what everyone else says.remember to always keep a finger on this skill, as you need to always be ready to use it. when theres a gap, and a safe opportunity to use it on the enemy, go for it. when you know that a enemy is going to use a spell on you, use it and retreat. ALSO always click near the enemy, NOT on the enemy. a more indepth explanation will be explaned late on.

Healing Ward
this ward is like having a free HoT or being next to the fountain. the fact that it can move is even better. use this skill when in battles, or when you want to heal without going back(remember to go into a blind spot first). when using the ward in the jungle during a team battle, place it in the trees, unless you are going to be out of the range of healing.

Blade Dance
In my opinion, the best passive crit. it has such a high percent of procing(second to slithice), and the multiplier it does is good. this skill is what makes juggernaut able to carry well in late game.

Omnislash
this skill is what makes the enemy scared. this skill does a very high amount of damage, and it scales very well. you can use items during omnislashing, and you are invulnerable when using it. When using it, besure that there is only one person your targeting, or when your sure you will kill the enemy with the last blow(common in early game usage of omnislash). a deeper explanation will be included.
Level 2 - stats/blade dance(if you start with at least 2 more stat points for int.)

Level 17+ - stats
blade fury is your main damaging skill early game, so you should get this as soon as possible. if you start of with no stat boosting items, please go stats on lvl 2, 4. imo getting blade dance is good, as you never know when you proc it on your enemy, and it can help farming at times, also it is good for setting yourself up for mid game. it doesn't really matter about when you get blade dance or stats tbh, but you have to have at least 4 bonus int points by level 6.
omnislash is obvious. the earlier gotten the better, dont delay to get it. you will have the mana to support whenever you level it.
healing ward isnt very important early game. you dont have enough hp to make the healing ward effective, and also you dont have the mana to spend it on. your better off even using a tango, and the enemy might just attack the ward and break it if you have a bad placement.
saving here.
there are many starter kits for jug, they all work really well.
theres the usually Boots+tango/flask starter kit. wont explain anything for this. please level stats at 2+4 if you go for this.
the bottle.

this item will provide the mana for you to spam your spin. this will most likely give you a fb(cuz of runes)
the normal qb kit:

the qb kit is very useful for early game farming. you can tree chop which makes ganking very good during early-mid game. qb can also be useful for juking(synergy for heal), ganking(not as common, but will be included in detail.). thats about all the qb kit is good for. please level stats at level 4, OR stats at 2+4. if you can farm well without qb follow on:
the early bladedance item build:

OR
.
this is the starter kit i go for with jug. i enjoy the early +4 stats, and means i can afford to harrass the enemy with 2 bladefuries. provides hp, and allows you to take the bland dance early. please dont take this if you can't farm well, your better of with the qb or boots(as boots will net you kills, qb will give you easier farm) i like this one, as you can cary the two circlits to make wariths/bracer(as you HAVE to for this playstyle.)
i personally like getting the extra branch instead of the pot, as i normally dont have much mana problems. the clarity can be used at 6 to get ready for omnislash, or earlier on, if you like harrassing.
saving here.
these items should be already gotten for this playstyle at around ______(pending). you should be aiming for this. obviously, teleport,healing items should be gotten as well.

OR
lothars is our main focused item for this guide.(tips and tricks will be included). bottle is kinda optional, but it is to help your mana usagem and can be used to make a very good comeback at times. wraths/bracer is to provide you with damage/hp.
phase/treads/BoT, which one is best??
i used to always ask this. i used to always go for treads, but now i realised phase or BoT is the better choice for juggernaut.the phase boots provides you with quite alot of damage, and its fairly cheap. it helps you position your spin early, and is very unpredictable. BoT will help you gank/farm(back up carry)/and even play mindgames(explained later), and because of the teleport scroll nerf, BoT is even more viable.
treads however, gives you attackspeed, mana/hp/damage, but will it give you any phasing ability? will it give a teleporting ability? will it give you good movement speed? if you really want to get this item, just stick with normal boots.
early game item build.
for early game you should be aiming for the following, in recommended order(skip if you bought it for starting)
-=>
-=>
/
(if your doing extremely good... dont spend all game trying to farm thism just get phase+telescrolls.)-=>
-=>
.
magic wand can be made if you want you went with the qb build.
*special mention to pms* if your under lots of harrass, please consider getting this.
.
theres no specific time to get a item. you dont have to get it in order, but get it for your gameplay eg. your finding yourself being to slow to chase, get boots. finding yourself running out of mana, consider getting bottle. find yourself with low hp/dying to frequent, consider getting the circlits/wrath,bracer.
if your doing super good early, then get a quartre staff.

1. HERO's Story
Slicing through armor with the greatest of ease. Whirling, dancing like a dervish, swiping foes with a flick of the wrist. Poetry in motion, slashing enemy upon enemy in the blink of an eye. Yurnero seeks perfection. Seeks to become one with his blade. All to fulfill his destiny as the unstoppable Juggernaut.
2. juggernaut is a hero that excells in his early-mid game.hi there, i hope you enjoy reading this guide, and it is my first one, so it won't be as good as i want it to be, but i will update it. i started playing jug when i just started playing dota, and he is still my most favorite character in the game. i've tried heaps of builds, from refresher to theinfamous battlefury, and different strategies as to killing/ganking/surviving.
