2 .AUTHORS NOTE
Lycan is one hero who is usually scary to the opponent but in recent times people have found counters to him and his ulti eg. A dk has a ghost scepter and cyclone and stun = 10 sec of useless shapeshift and what are you going to do !!! well actually in this type of situation u should hope u kill him off in the remaining 8 seconds .. : … this guide deals with a pub lycan but the tactics can be used in clan games also . 4.SKILLS

SUMMON WOLVES
They are your best friends early game and mid game . they help you in almost all phases killing , farming , roshaning . they have insane crits and belive me they hurt and they benefit from you vlads hahahaha. They can also scout and at lvl 4 they get permanent invisibility . But use them as scouts only late game as they will be required in early mid games . FYI Once upon a time they had bash O.o


HOWL
Gives you 50+ damage and with vlads and feral impulse upto 80 + damage
now does this need an explanation ok
you on the skill you get 50+ damage !!


FERAL IMPLUSE
increses the attack speed and damage of lycan and his units . In short it gives you a AS aura and damage aura . Helps you early game and makes you imba late game B)


SHAPESHIFT
Lycan signature skill . Lycan without shapeshift is like A MAN WITHOUT HIS BALLS . THIs Is what makes him scary max attack speed , max movement speed ,crit . A normal reaction of the opponent it OMFG Runnnnn . But guess what HE CANT RUN YOU will OUTRUN HIM and HAVE Him FOR DINNER

JUSTIFICATION
There is just one build to his skills . First question which pops to everyone’s mind is that why not howl first . 50+ damage is no joke , but it requires too much mana which u need for wolves and plus u and your wolves need feral impulse . Summon wolves and Shapeshift is a no brainer , get it whenever you can .

6 . ITEM BUILD

NOTE : THERE WILL BE THREE BUILDS .. Lycan is a hero who doesn’t have a disable so that’s his main problem

Obvious build

VLADS is core . Remember you have to get a disable so you get basher when your in ulti you can stunlock them . treads will give you extra stats for survivability . Desolator gives you damage and plus a corruption which help in dealing more damage .Assault is mainly bought for your wolves and armor and it also adds more corruption

The ‘ I can rape you without shapeshift ‘ build

Vlads is as told before core . Orb of venom gives you perma slow which is a very annoying ( for the opponent ) . Phase boots give u that extra tinge of damage and phase which give you ms to chase ( as told before when people see lycan , they run , so u also run behind them ) and continue slowing them .Armlet gives you that AS and extra damage and also give good stats . Yasha boost your ms which helps you to chase them even faster .
NOTE : remember this build makes you a lycan effective without shapeshift but that doesn’t mean you don’t use it ..if u use it OMFG gg FOR them

The ‘ IM too rich and the opponent pudge has made aganiams and I am being out dpsed badly ‘ build

No vlads in this as u are going to buy statanic. Statanic needs helm . helm gives you sum damage and armor but it also gives you convert a creep so convert a neutral and howl and push push push .treads for survivability . statanic will make that pudge and those annoying dpsers go omfg he was just about to die . BKB for not being nuked as this build will be used only against omg nukers and hard dpsers . MKB gives you a ministun and damage and true strike since most dpsers are agis and make butterfly and against that annoying troll and mortred

NOTE : You might notice that I have left a slot or two . REMEMBER 1 slot is always kept for aegis and if there is still another left pump in some damage item eg. Rad , mkb . IF roshan is dead and u still have slot left don’t use it keep the money for buy back
NOTE :If you have money late game and you have done all of the above convert your boots to Travel as you will be needed to go around and push .

I personally recommend the second build as it makes you rapist even when your not a wolf and if you’re a wolf you rape harder

NOTE : sorry just this last one …… MANY OF YOU MAY ASK “ bkb should be core it makes him an unstoppable dog “ but I recommend to get bkb only extremely late game when you fight mostly alone . As during early mid game you can with your allies and they have bound to have some disable or your royally fucked … I am not saying don’t get bkb get it if you’re the main guy and they are five nukers opposite . O.o

REJECTED ITEMS


BATTLEFURY is useless as people don’t gather around the guy your hitting and you don’t need the regen and mana regen . Lothars edge – what exactly are you going to do with it . Come to the enemy from behind and scare them ??? waste better get a more damage item .Manta style though sounds tempting boost ms and howl come on you so useless . Diffusal Blade – you don’t benefit from it except the purges

7 . HOW TO PLAY HIM

NOTE : THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ONE !!!! LYCAN DOES NOT PLAY ON THE BASIS OF RICING !!! YOU EARN YOUR MONEY MOSTLY BY KILLS AND SOMETIMES NEUTRALS

EARLY GAME ( the farming stage )
This is the time you last hit like there is no tomorrow . When you get your 3 lvl wolves you go to neutrals and farm until you get your vlads and boots and an orb of venom . now after you get these get these go for the first chance to kill go kill … go to your lane get help from your ally hit. Hit .hit then shapeshift and finish them off.

MID GAME(KILLing time = your ownage time )
You by now should have atleast a kill streak of 5 to 6 . you should have completed your treads and on your way to armlet . go take roshan .

ROSHANING
GO up to him ( duh. ) and start attacking (duh. Again) let your wolves tank when his hp comes to red pull him back and let the other wolf tank and let the other wolf regen and repeat the same cycle until roshan is dead BEWARE : don’t let anyone come to help you u should solo as it gives you bonus of 2 levels and 500 gold ..if anyone comes tell him to GTFO
BY the end of mid game you should have completed your second build and on your way to a damage item .

LATE GAME ( the time when I have 10000 gold and have a full inventory )
Kill roshan . kill heroes , get ultra kills .
