Hero Introduction

Among the small number of intelligence heroes who focus on getting a lot of powerful items late in the game, the Obsidian Destroyer relies on building up as much intelligence and mana as he possibly can. His deadly Arcane Orb enhances his attacks with large amounts of unresistable pure damage, and if his mana pool gets high enough the Obsidian Destroyer is capable of killing fragile enemies with only a few Arcane Orb attacks. Astral Prison is a useful ability, which can put a powerful enemy hero out of the fight or save an ally from death. In addition, it drains intelligence when cast on an enemy hero, and by repeatedly using this ability the Obsidian Destroyer can quickly reduce the enemies' mana pool, making it difficult for them to cast many spells. To keep both his own and his allies' mana pools full, the Obsidian Destroyer has a passive skill called Essence Aura. In addition to boosting the Destroyer's own mana pool, this aura gives any allied unit under its effect a chance to instantly regain a portion of their total mana pool every time they cast a spell. Essence Aura fuels Arcane Orb, giving the Destroyer potent damage with little risk of running dry. Although Arcane Orb and Astral Prison make the Destroyer deadly in small engagements, his powerful Sanity's Eclipse spell can turn the tide of large battles. An Obsidian Destroyer with a lot of intelligence items can kill or badly wound several enemy heroes at once with this spell. Few heroes are capable of putting out as much damage as a pumped up Obsidian Destroyer.

Background Story

An obsidian construct brought to life through the ill conceived necromancy of the Lich King, Harbinger craves magic to make up for the emptiness brought on by the incomplete nature of its summoning. Ironically however, to devour the magic that it so desires, Harbinger must tap into his own pool of mana time and time again, expending to the point where it ends up with even less than it began with. Yet despite this, the Obsidian Destroyer is a proud servant of the Undead Scourge, and takes great pleasure in annihilating the foolish Sentinels it encounters through psionic exploitation.

Skill Usage

This is the spell you use to destroy single targets. Its a late game spell because it drains your mana pool really fast. It's damage is also based on your mana pool which is low in the beginning of the game. This is why u dont skill it till level 8, where you can use it to kill heroes. You will max it at levels 14 and 15 because by then you should have an infinite mana pool, give or take. Either you have your core items, or your passive will provide you with mana since by this time you will be enjoying a lot of team fights. In the later stages of the games this can also be used to farm, making sure you will never miss a last hit.

Items

In my opinion starting items are personal and may also depend a bit on what hero you are going to face. I normally like to get some bonus stats and in the case of obsi i would recommend getting a bit more regen, this way you can stay on the lane pretty long, to farm.

Friends & Enemies

These are your best friends, especially enigma and magnus because there ulti's disable for a long time. Cast your ulti after one of these heroes initiated. Whoever didnt die instantly from your ulti is 1 hit away from heaven with your arcane orb!

Overall Conlusion

Farm your butt off early game, do not bother to gank, try not to get ganked, win your solo lane, out farm him and call misses. Once you have treads magicwand and forcestaff you can participate in teamfights but do not stop farming, you still need to farm guinsoo which is a lot of gold! Your mid game is decent and your late game is rape! Have fun one hitting several enemies at once and hearing godlike and rampage very often!

Replay

The first one is a replay of my clan (rway) against clan ax, which is more than just a good replay for watching how i play obsidian destroyer and rape the game. It is a very fun to watch replay and very close till late game arrived that is. I highly recommend watching this one, you will be entertained! I you will see that obsi can beat windrunner 1v1.

The second one is a replay from an inhouse game from my clan (rway) which turned out to be a very bad game, never the less i did play a good destroyer and got several tripple kills and one very nice banish and ulti combo in a teamfight.
