Hero Introduction
The Ursa Warrior makes quick work of enemies who try to fight him toe to toe. His Fury Swipes passively claw deeper into enemy wounds, dealing more damage with each consecutive hit. Overpower allows him to reach lightning fast attacking speed for 6 hits, and when Enraged, he'll deal even more damage based on a portion of his health. To aid Ulfsaar in unleashing on his prey, he can stomp the ground to cause Earthshocks, which cripple nearby enemies' movespeed and deals moderate damage.

Background Story
Before the invasion of the Scourge, a race of intelligent bears called furbolgs cultivated a quiet spiritual society deep in the heart of Azshara. With most of their kind murdered and corrupted by the Undead, the normally isolated furbolgs were forced to flee to the Sentinel for protection. In return, the furbolgs have sent their mightiest Ursa Warrior into battle on the Sentinel behalf. Enraged by the defilement of his people's sacred land, Ulfsaar is able to channel his fury into a series of extremely quick and brutal swipes, using his razor-sharp claws to overpower his foes and literally tear them apart.

Comments About This Hero
  • This is an agility hero, but is more on strenght attributes
  • Has massive attack speed when using overpower, but only lasts for few attacks
  • When skills are strategically combined, this hero is very deadly in combat
  • Easily countered when enemies have evasion and Blademail
  • Takes time to cast Earthshock and Overpower
  • Doesn't need to be a "Pro" to be deadly when using Ursa, but needs to be an "Expert" to win alone.

Laning

Ursa is a mid-late game hero so laning isn't much of a problem for him. For 5v5 or 4v4 matches he most probably fits on the short side lane (top for Sent and bot for Scourge). But depending on the situation where most of your teammates are no solo laner (early game/support) then Ursa should have no problem to solo mid lane. Examples of hero with more priority than Ursa for solo mid lane:-

-
-
-
-
-
-
and other heroes who request for solo mid lane

Hero Skills

Earthshock

-Active skill, instant targeting
-Hotkey: E

"Slams the ground, dealing damage to and slowing the movement speed of nearby enemy land units."

Mana Cost: 75 (All Levels)
Cooldown: 6 seconds (All Levels)
Casting range: N/A
AOE(Area of Effect): 385 (All Levels)
Duration: 4 seconds (All Levels)
Allowed Targets: Enemy Units (All Levels)
Effects:-
-90 Damage, 25% Slow (Level 1)
-140, 35% (2)
-190, 45% (3)
-240, 55% (4)

Notes:-
-Damage type: magical

Comments:-
-Best used when arriving beside the unit followed by Overpower and Enrage
-Can also be used when chased by a unit
-Do not use when the unit is already running away, it won't slow
-Damage is decent to heroes for early game but can be used for pusing/defending during late game/mid game

Overpower

-Active skill, instant targeting
-Hotkey: V

"Sends Ulfsaar into a rage until he can expend his energy on a target."

Mana Cost: (45/55/65/75) (Level 1-4 in sequence)
Cooldown: 10 (All Levels)
Casting rage: N/A
AOE: N/A
Duration: 15 seconds (Ends earlier if used for the number of attacks)
Allowed Targets: Self (All Levels)
Effects: 400% attack speed(max) for (3/4/5/6) attacks (Level 1-4 in sequence)

Notes:-
-It gives the maximum increased attack speed possible
-Overpower is not cancelled when BKB is activated

Comments:-
-As said in the notes, this is the highest possible attack speed so buying attack speed items are useless when combined with this skill
-Lasts for the number of attacks or ends itself after 15 seconds
-Makes the 3rd skill even more powerful

Fury Swipes

-Passive skill, no targeting
-Hotkey: W

"Each attack opens the wound deeper in the target, causing subsequent attacks to deal increased damage."

Duration: 6 seconds
Allowed targets: Enemy Units
Effects: (15/20/25/30) bonus damage per attack (Level 1-4 in sequence)

Notes:-
-This is an orb effect
-Counter gets reset after 6 seconds
-There will be a paw mark on top of the target which is visible to all units for 6 seconds since the last attack

Comments:-
-As mentioned, this is an orb effect
-The damage stacks with each other, meaning during the 6 second period before resetting, each attack you make will increase damage.
-For example, if your attack damage is 75 and this skill is at level 4, then your next damage will be 100, followed by 125 onwards for 6 seconds until it is reset to 70 again. So, having high attack speed during this period will make this skill very powerful

Enrage

-Active skill, instant targeting
-Hotkey: R

"When activated, greatly increases Ulfsaar's damage based on his current life."

Mana Cost: 0 (All Levels)
Cooldown: 25 (All Levels)
Duration: 15 seconds (All Levels)
Allowed Targets: Self
Effects: (5/6/7)% of current life is dealt in damage (Level 1-3 in sequence)

Notes:-
*none*

Comments:-
-You may think, "since the mana cost is 0, means that everytime I attack I will lose (4/5/6)% of my life when using this skill to increase attack damage" Well, that statement is WRONG
-This skill will just increase your attack damage at 0 mana cost but the damage will be calculated based on your current HP
-Means that the higher your HP, the higher the damage increase.
-Example, if your current HP is 3000 and this is skilled at level 3, then your bonus damage is +180 and it will stack with Fury Swipes additively so when all skills are combined at max level, then the minimum clean(not including the bonus damage from items/attributes) damage is 240 from Earthshock + 550 damage = 790 damage which is considered very high and is only reduced by armor and damage block items like Vanguard

Hero Skill Build

There are 2 skill build "suggestions" that I will share, the first is for early killing spree(best for early kills) and the second is for mid Godlike(best for early farming)

Comments:-

- is a considerable choice compared to because attack speed from PT isn't important, you can walk through creeps with phase and the 24 damage from PB is quite decent for early game.
- Why get and ???
Well, since you have massive attack speed and the fact that the Fury Swipes is an orb, Vladmir is a great choice for staying in lane and getting a killing spree. Vanguard is a considerable choice because it provides damage block, HP regen and extra HP which is a boost for your Ulti.
- Basher to avoid chances of opponents running. Plus a stun effect to stop their channeling spells.
- is helpful during cases you are chasing or being chased. Please note that if you receive damage, you may not use the Blink for 3 seconds after taking damage. This item can be used as a combo so as soon as u blink beside a hero, directly activate your Earthshock to slow him followed by Enrage and Overpower to kill. Do not blink when the hero is nearby as a note to newbies.
- or can be taken if you desire them, these are not recommended items though but they can be taken though. Armlet when activated provides +25 str, +10 IAS and +31 damage but drains your HP so make sure you have HP regen items like VG to make sure you don't lose too much HP. Lothar can be taken if you like surprising your enemy. As soon as you go near a hero with windwalk, activate Earthshock immediately to make sure they don't run followed by your skills.
- The items mentioned in 3v3/2v2/1v1 should also be taken even when you are playing 5v5/4v4 as Mid-Late game items (Lv14-17)

Hero Items [Late Game - Luxury]

-
Best luxury for Ursa because it pumps up his tankyness, very decent str increase, HP increase (important for Enrage) and HP regen. Note that str also increases HP regen and HP so the prey should beware
-
Bashing on Ursa is very suitable for him. "Slap, slap, bash, slap, kill". Plus the 100 extra damage is very decent for him.
-
Decent movespeed and you can teleport around the map
-
What happens when high damage is multiplied 2.5x? Buy this item then you'll know
-
Provides decent armor to you and your allies and does the opposite to your enemies.
-
A good disable for Ursa, better tell your enemies to beware because hex is gonna drive them mad.

-The above are possible luxuries for Ursa, please note that if you do not think the items suit him or you don't feel like using them on him, then feel free to cancel any item that you don't want to use on Ursa.

Hero Items [Situational]

-
If you have evasion heroes like Mortred, Troll, or any
carriers, this item will make them regret fighting you.
-
Pretty good item if you have plenty of disables at the enemy.
-
If you are fighting heroes like Magina, Soul Burn will literally burn their soul.
-
Taken if you have heavy fighters on the enemy.

Hero Items [Rejected]

These are the items that you should NEVER BUY on URSA

- All Orb and Buff Placer items. Why? Because as mentioned, this skill will cancel the effects so your pretty much wasting money.
Example of Orb and BP items:-
-
- Lifesteal Orbs ,
,
- Skadi
And other items with orb or buff placer items.

- Ok this item is 100% a not buy on Ursa

-
This Armor and Slow item isn't necessary because you already have to prevent you from having too much harm and + to help you chase down heroes.

- Other items which you think are rejected on Ursa.

Hero Items [Finalisation]

Ok these are options for what your hero would look like when you have a full inventory.

Finalisation 1[Super Tanker]

Finalisation 2[Super Damager]

Finalisation 5[Against ]

Finalisation 6[Your Choice]
- This is where you decide what you like as your finalisation items based on situation and choice.

Skill Combos

Ok here is a list where you combine your skills to make you a deadly machine.
The main idea where they don't counter you thus making you a killing machine is the basic combo:-

-The basic combo is blinking beside the enemy, Earthshock, Enrage then Overpower.

If you have more experience, then the double overpower combo can be used:-

-Before arriving at the scene, click on Overpower and wait for it to cooldown, after 8 seconds(it hasn't finished cooldown yet), blink beside the enemy, Earthshock, Enrage attack then Overpower. Thus making you double the damage taken by the enemy

Fighting Evasion heroes like Mortred and Troll and Butterfly carriersyou use the anti-evasion combo:-

-As soon as blinking beside the enemy hero like Mortred and Butterfly carriers(permanent evasion) then activate Earthshock, MKB, Enrage then Overpower.

-If fighting Troll, then as soon as he starts attacking you and uses his melee whirling axes(timed evasion) then activate Blademail, MKB, followed by Enrage then Overpower and as soon as you see him try to run activate Earthshock then Overpower.

Fighting Magina can be a pain in the ass if you are 1v1 with him:-

-The combo for fighting Magina is first of all Soul Burn him, Earthshock then Enrage followed by Overpower(or use the Double Overpower combo) then if he begins blinking then you also blink followed by the basic combo. If he blinks into the fog then you guess where he most probably blinked into.

Allies & Enemies

Allies
These are the people who you want to be with for the game.

Stunners:-

They stun, you hit they die. Simple

Disablers and Slowers:-

Same concept with stunners, they disable/slow, you hit, they die.

Enemies

At early game you suffer from him due to his sucking of mana making you unable to use Overpower. At mid-late game, he cries for mercy.

This is one of the gay heroes you should think twice of aiming. As soon as he begins to die, he suddenly disappears. Yes, its annoying.

These hexing heroes are the gayest among the gayest. As soon as you are about to kill him, they hex you and run away like a girl.

This anti-tank hero maybe an easy kill at early game, but at mid-late game, she kills you before you even think of killing her. She tries to make her serpent body free from paw germs.

This tree is not a creature to be facing at mid-late game, when you are trying to kill his brother, you suddenly lose your HP to some invisible being then suddenly get hold with his roots from nowhere. Then he appears and with the help of his brother, he kills you.

This Dryad hates being touched. Even your overpower is not fast enough because of her. Her ulti makes your Vanguard and Heart a joke. And if you try to blink away from her Ulti, you will just regret doing it.

This hero's whirling axes makes you miss a lot giving the chance for him to kill you without him dyeing.

This hero makes you fail to reach her before you kill her and giving her the chance to kill you. Even if you do reach her, she will silence you then run away. The only way to kill her is that of a surprise attack.

This hero sucks

Food

Roshan
At level 9 you may begin to kill him alone

He thinks he's the mighty Mogul Khan with his mighty Axe. You may die once or twice from his axe at early game but at mid-late game, he will regret fighting you.

Other soft heroes that have no way of countering you. If they do, then you counter them back.

Countering Enemies

As the enemies have been mentioned above, these are ways to counter most of them.

&
You use the item build and combo mentioned

Silence them before they run away with Soul Burn from or just get to avoid disables or simply

Future Changes

If there are changes to Ursa, then this guide will also get changed. Please stay tuned, rate and comment

Extra Info about Ursa Warrior

-Ursa is one of the few heroes who can solo Roshan at mid game, so go ahead and kill that big guy. Please note that most people know this so if they realise you are missing then they will surely hunt you at Roshan, keep this in mind.

-Ursa has slow AS at early game but after getting his Overpower, he's a killing machine but please take notice of spikes appearing on the enemy as it will damage you too but at late game, do not worry as you are a tank and it won't hurt you that much

-Activate Enrage before Overpower because Overpower lasts for 6 attacks while Enrage lasts for 15 seconds so if you activate Overpower first, some of the attacks will not be boost up with Enrage.

Ursa Warrior is truly a warrior.
