Welcome to my first guild on my favorite hero. A hero which dominates at every stage of the game, from very early level 1 laning to very late game team battles. With great ganking, pushing, and defending abilities Its the one and only Razor the Lightning Revenent.
Razor is lightning incarnate. It is a living being, capable only of unleashing it's tremendous electrical power to anything and everything nearby. The only indication of sentience from it is its ability to control its surges, which never seems to actually strike any it would call friend. Like its namesake, it cuts to the bone, with speed and accuracy, sometimes jumping from one thing to another. Its unnatural form gives it speed, and a thirst for blood. It is a force to be reckoned with, and only the strong dare face it.
Pro's and Con's
-Very good lane control
-One of a the strongest AoE nukes
-Very high movement speed
-Good attack animation
-Can be very hard to kill while dealing massive damage
-No stun or disable
-Base damage is low
-No direct escape
-All skills can be useless if not used correctly
-Is gear dependent late game
Strength: 21 + 1.7
Agility: 22 + 2.0
Intelligence: 19 + 1.8
Attack range: 475
Attack animation: 0.3 / 0.7
Casting animation: 0.5 / 0.125
Base attack time: 1.7
Missile speed: 2000
Sight range: 1800 / 800
Plasma Field (Active, Instant)
Razor releases a wave of energetic plasma. which grows in power as it extends outwards. Deals damage to units both on expansion and on contraction. The further the plasma is from Razor the more energy it has.
Mana cost: 125
Cooldown: 16 seconds
Area of effect: 700
Projectile speed: 600
Level 1: Min damage 80. Max 140
Level 2: Min damage 120. Max 210
Level 3: Min damage 160. Max 280
Level 4: Min damage 200. Max 350
Very high damage nuke. Not spammable but still good for harassing and ganking. With a low mana cost its also decent for farming when used correctly. Possibly the best chasing nuke given that is has no cast time and it's AoE is based on the hero.
Static Link (Active, Unit)
Taps into the energy of a target hero, creating a charged link between Razor and his foe. As long as this link is maintained, Razor will continue to steal damage from the target and add it to his own. Drains up to 10 seconds. Bonus lasts 13 seconds after that.
Duration: 13 - 23 seconds
Cooldown: 45/40/35/30 seconds
Projectile speed: 1250
Level 1: 5 attack damage per second
Level 2: 10 attack damage per second
Level 3: 15 attack damage per second
Level 4: 20 attack damage per second
This skill doesnt really shine til later in the game and evn then its easily countered. But when used correctly it can have devastating effects. Its mana cost is low and the cooldown inst that long so its worth using in almost every encounter.
Unstable Current (Passive)
Razor's very body is a constantly shifting miasma of dark energy. This unnatural state allows him to move with supernatural speed, and any foe foolish enough to launch a direct magical assault against him will have their boldness rewarded with a shock of purging electricity.
Duration (Purge): 0.3/0.6/0.9/1.2 seconds
Level 1: 3% movement, 40 damage
Level 2: 6% movement, 60 damage
Level 3: 9% movement, 80 damage
Level 4: 12% movement, 100 damage
Decent passive, makes razor one of the fastest heroes in dota. Also counters target spam nukers such as zeus, ogre, bristleback, etc.
Eye of the Storm (Active, Instant)
The Lightning Revenant calls upon a powerful storm of crackling energy, which strikes weakened enemies with deadly bolts of lightning. The storm is charged with Razor's malevolent will, and will seek out only the most injured targets for its armor shattering blasts.
Duration: 20/25/30 seconds
Cooldown: 80/70/60 seconds
Area of Effect: 525
Level 1: Deals 37.5 damage and reduces armor by 1 each strike. One strike each 0.85 seconds.
Level 2: Deals 50 damage and reduces armor by 1 each strike. One strike each 0.75 seconds.
Level 3: Deals 62.5 damage and reduces armor by 1 each strike. One strike each 0.6 seconds.
Similar to razors other skills Eye of the storm (EotS) this skill is easy to use but hard to use correctly. It targets the lowest hit point target not percentage hitpoints, meaning the enemy needs to be very low for it to target them over creeps. Still when used correctly it can have devastating effects. It has a low cooldown and last a long time, at lvl 3 it can be up literally half the time.

Plasma Field is maxed first as it is his only nuke, and an above average nuke at that. One point in static link in early game is optional, unless you are facing alot of targeted nukes (i.e; soloing vs zeus) its worth it. there maybe be a situation where you could leach up to 30damage for 20mana. EotS Should be taken whenever possible as it is both cheap and damaging in ganks early and late.

+ + = Stout Shield (250) + Ring of Health (875) + Vitality Booster (1100) = Vanguard (2225)
This is all he needs for a large part of the game, these four items. Bottle and Magic Wand provide him with all the mana/hp regen you will need. Vanguard provides early tanking abilities (allowing you to chase with link and EotS). And with just Boots of Speed you will most likey be the fastest hero in he game.

Standard Final Build
Early Game (1-7)
Ok so you've chosen razor, you've got your starting items. Time to pick a lane. Razor is one of those heroes that will function very well in either a solo or duel lane. So go with whatever you/your team wants and get ready to block creeps/check first rune.
Dual Lane; Razor will eat most duel lanes alive, youre ranged, have a good animation, a above average nuke and are relatively tanky. Last hit and harass with hits here and there, dont be afraid to tank creeps a little razor can handle it.
Use Plasma Field to harass if you have ample mana and are not planning a gank. Dont just randomly hit Plasma Field, make your you hit all enemys in the lane and at a decent distance away from you (after some practice you will learn the exact range of it). So hit Plasma Field when they are in range and if they run move towards them, it will move the field and still hit them. Also when not using it in an attempt to kill, try and collect a creep or two with it.
If youre lane has a stun or slow, you have a very good chance of getting a kill early. One good way is as their creeps are clearing move up to them then start attack walking (hit your ult now if you have it), trying to stay ahead of them as you go, if youre partner stuns/slows them at this point you will most likely kill them. Keep attacking, and moving with them (in there path if you can). Then as they start to get away hit Plasma Field as they will be running into its maximum damage range, or they will have to stop, which isnt an option).
Dont lose track of your farm though, youre still a carry in many ways. Get your Bottle, Boots, Stick -> Wand (in that order) ASAP. If its past 4misn and you dont have a bottle on the way you need to practice your last hitting.
Solo Lane: You not as strong solo as in a duel lane but you can still hold your own against many of the top solo'ers. Start off the same as a duel lane, harass and last hit, get a bottle ASAP, hopefully in a couple of minutes.
Wear down the enemy with Plasma Field whilst getting some creeps. Check for every rune (checking at 1:50, 3:50, etc makes it easier) your luck with runes will dictate how much you harass. If you can get them low enough that a Plasma Field will finish them and they haven't gone backed to base/healed get ready to kill. They will mostlikey be dancing outside your range, get ready if they get a little to close to hit Plasma Field and run at them. If you have a rnk or two of Unstable Current they may be slower and you can chase -> Plasma Field.
Once level 5-7 You will e looking for ganks in other lane, take regular looks at the situation other lanes, for possible ganks. When ganking a lane try to get them when their creeps have/can be cleared if possible. Hit EotS then Plasma Field so that you hit them for max damage as you run in to attack-walk. The idea is to get their HP as low as possible ASAP So EotS will choose them. Attack-walk to finish them. Throw in a link if the fight maybe be long enough to get some damage off them.
Mid Game (8-16)
Ok so laning phase is somewhat over and you should have your Bottle, Boots and Wand. You will be completing your Vanguard soon (sooner if you soloed). Your core is done, yes really, this is all you need. You are now a tank ganker, pusher, and farmer all in one. Gank people whenever you can. Meaning you can gank people when the option is there but dont lose gold/xp trying to a gank on that 1200HP Centaur on your own. While at the same time, dont choose to farm over a ganking option in an adjacent lane. Push towers when you can, youre Plasma Field can wipe waves very easily when used correctly.
At this level of the game there really isnt an hero that can kill you on full hp, you can even escape two people with some smart juking. But you on the other hand can destroy alot of heroes. So don't be scared to take on people/ chase past towers.
Pick up your Power Treads from a side show whenever you can (set them to Agi or Str depending on how youre feeling). Next either get a Ulimate Orb or a Yasha depening on wether you need more mana/hp or damage/MS. Dont forget you can change your Treads Depending on how the games going.
When ganking, the same as in early game, hit EotS, hit Plasma Field, run in and link. Now it is more important to stay with them than to auto attack, keeping EotS, and Link going is more important than the odd auto attack. After just 3 of seconds of this at lvl 14 they will be down around 4 armor, 60damage, and 150Hp, while you would have gained 60damage. Attack when you can, after a few seconds of EotS+Link at this stage of the game you will cut through them like butter.
Note; stuns/slows can mess you up somewhat, but with smart play you can reduce the effects. If you know they have a slow/ stun to unload and save themselves with get into good position to keep chasing after it wears off. If they only really have one safe way to run and move ahead of them, so that they must run past you. Link might not break if done well, EotS will still be there, and you will move much faster than them. Also if the stun/slow is targeted, they will gain every little ground due to the purge.
Complete your manta and use it to push/gank, hit them when you can openly dps them, not during a chase. You will be less rune dependent with your manta and mostlikey the fastest hero in the game.
Late Game (17+)
Ok so the carries from both teams will be starting to shine at this point, there will be a lot of team battles, team pushing.
You can safely use your plasma field to farm and push, and EotS can be used in pretty much every encounter. There wont be many ganks at this point, mostly team battles but gank in the same manner as mid game.
Ill focus on team battles first. Its fairly obvious when a team battle is about to go down, all missing, push meets defense, etc. Be very careful at this point the other team knows what you can do to them and they wnt to remove you from the fight almost as fast as a bane lol. You cant be the first in but you can be the second. Dont rush if youre going to be targeted/mass disabled/ AoE nuked to death.
Rush in with EotS on when you can link the dps carry if you can, do not let this break, its is a lot times more important than your auto attack. Use Manta to dodge stuns/disrupt attention if needed, otherwise it can be used to amp damage. If you can keep a link going for ten seconds (chances are low) thats 200 damage. Not only will you ripe through the supports in seconds, but they now have a almost useless carry for 10seconds. Youre lifesteal will shine here, puting you back on full hp in no time, with so much damage you will not be taken down with auto attacking. EotS will not do much in team fights, some damage and armor sap but it is definitely worth casting due to its tiny cd and mana cost. Plasma Field is just as good as any other nuke at this point and takes no aiming so spam away.
Before a team fight keep this in mind; you're much more important than that Axe or ES that blink in and do their bit, you the finisher. You go in, nuke a little, start saping damage, then destroy them with your monstrous damage. If anyone in your team should be left standing, it should be you.
This applies mostly to early/mid game ganks.
Double Damage; Will most likey get you a kill, with unstable current, they cant really our run you, just nuke link and attack walk them down. If no such option is available just use it to farm/push.
Haste; A sure kill, you can chase them with Link+ Eots for so long. Assuming you have Vanguard even past a tower or two.
Invisibility; May get you a kill if used well, allows you to come out at a good time to use EotS and Link. Can even be good for a escaping if going for a difficult gank
Illusions; Not as useful at the others but can add some damage when ganking, more useful to farm/push.
Regen; Regen is Regen, is an awesome rune, especially on a ganker with a farming nuke like razor.
