GG Branch: For cheap stats and Magic WandSlipper of AgilityRing of ProtectionTangos: Cause skeletons are vegetariansHealing SalveorWraith BandTangos: Cause skeletons are vegetarians

DPS Carry Build
Power Treads:You benefit from all stats it gives, abuse stat transformationRing of Aquila(optional) : Gives laning and pushing power early game. You will sell it later to make space for other itemsOrchid: Secondary choice of extension when you have enough disables in team, plus it's 1.5k gold cheaper. Gives you enough mana for entire game, a nice silence that increases damage taken by 25%, some damage and attack speed. DPS Carry itemMonkey King Bar: Usually your first choice of luxury before or after BKB. DPS wise it's worse against heroes then Daedlus/Buriza but a lot better against buildings, and it interrupt chanelling spells and counter heroes with evasion. Your most common choice of extension. Ganker ItemDaedlus/Buriza: Gives you the highest damage of all pure DPS items (except Divine Rapier), allows you to suprise and 2 shot enemy players. I.Introduction

Hello and welcome to my second hero guide, this time for Bone Fletcher. Even though there is nothing wrong with previous guides I decided to make this one since this hero is pretty straight forward and I wanted to try out a new way of guide formating.
Since this hero just got introduced to Dota 2 I guess people will appreciate it.

II.Basic Info

DPS Carry:
Bone is a glass canon hero with very high damage thanks to Searing Arrows and Strafe, so he has to farm up. This means that in teamfights he will be the last one to enter and snipe enemy supports and low HP heroes from range with his high burst damage. Orchid is your primary choice for this role

Ganker: From level 6 he can kill lone heroes without disable, and his ganking power peaks mid game when he gets farmed a bit. Schyte of Vyse is your primary choice for this role

Building Wrecker: Bone can deal a lot of damage to building since Searing Arrows work on buildings so he should be pushing mid-late game and backdooring when possible. Natural extension to DPS Carry role

III.Skills

1.Wind Walk/Searing Arrows
2.Searing Arrows/Wind Walk
3.Strafe
4.Searing Arrows
5.Searing Arrows
6.Death Pact
7.Searing Arrows
8.Wind Walk/Strafe
9.Wind Walk/Strafe
10.Strafe
11.Death Pact

Take Wind Walk on level 1 unless you are on solo lane and have no fear of ganks to impove your last hitting power and lane control.
Max Strafe or Wind Walk first based on your opponents, take Death Pact when possible.
Maxing Strafe first is the best strategy because Bone is a mid game hero and it doubles your damage output, but you should take 2-3 levels of WW before you max it based on your opponents

IV.Items and Item Builds

Core Items Make Treads and 1-2 optional itemsOtherwise it will delay your extension too much
Power Treads:You benefit from all stats it gives, abuse stat transformationMagic Wand(optional) : Great troughout the whole game for burst healing and manaRing of Aquila(optional) : Gives laning and pushing power early game. You will sell it later to make space for other itemsSoul Ring(optional): You will sell it after Orchid/Schyte, but it gives you tons of mana before it and has synergy with your ultimate. Can be skipped in some cases, but highly recommended when going for Schyte of VyseMedallion of Courage(optional): Great item to make if you decide to gank early, if you are gonna farm for bigger items skip it. Great when rushing BKB
Extension Items Make Orchid or Guinsoo + BKB/Linken when you need itThese items give just enough mana regen, and making more then one would be a waste of gold. In some cases with enough disables on your team you can go straight for DPS items and BKB
Schyte of Vyse: Gives the best disable in game and enough mana to spam your spells. Your most common choice of extension. Ganker ItemOrchid: Secondary choice of extension when you have enough disables in team, plus it's 1.5k gold cheaper. Gives you enough mana for entire game, a nice silence that increases damage taken by 25%, some damage and attack speed. DPS Carry itemBlack King Bar: In higher level games you might need to make BKB before Guinsoo/Orchid and in some cases you can skip those items and go straight for BKB + DPS items Linkens is made for mobile carries like Weaver, Akasha and Storm who can escape before they get chain stunned with it. BKB does the job better imo, but it allows you to evade that first stun and stop you from being chain stunned
Luxury Extensions
Black King Bar: Allows you to kill people during Strafe and escape from ganks. Most common and usually your first luxury extension. DPS Carry itemMonkey King Bar: Usually your first choice of luxury before or after BKB. DPS wise it's worse against heroes then Daedlus/Buriza but a lot better against buildings, and it interrupt chanelling spells and counter heroes with evasion. Building Wrecker & DPS Carry itemDaedlus/Buriza: Gives you the highest damage of all pure DPS items (except Divine Rapier), critical strike is really strong because it allows you to suprise and 2 shot enemy players. Ganker and DPS Carry itemDivine Rapier: Make it lategame when you have Aegis to win the game. Awesome in combination with Daedlus/Buriza that allows you to 1 shot enemy support with 1.3k+ crits. DPS Carry & Building Wrecker itemButterfly: Make it instead or in addition to Daedlus/Buriza to deal with a team heavy on physical damage. DPS Carry itemBoots of Travel: Sell your treads after 40-60 minutes in game and buy these, Bone eats towers and rax in seconds so you should be able to participate in any push and quickly go back to base to defend.Heart of Tarassque: Allows you to tank enemy carries, chain stuns and survive when doomed. DPS Carry item
Situational Items
Ghost Sceptre: Make it when facing enemy permabasher, primary for Barathum since he can gank you before you finish your Guinsoo and if he lands a charge you are probably already dead. Use it right before he charges at you, or in combination with WW to escape if he has used his chargeMjollnir: Situational pushing item that increases your farming and pushing speed by a lot. It works with Searing arrows in Dota 2, in DotA you have to toggle arrows off. BKB and Pipe users counter this item hard so keep that in mindAssault Cuirass: Situational pushing item that you should make if noone else on the team can Necronomicon: great item when dealing with invisible heroes, counterwarding, backdooring and pushing towers. Stats are also not wasted on you
Utility Items
TP Scroll: To look pretty in your inventory because you will never use itObserver Wards: Bone is a great warded because of his high mobility and invisiblity, but you should not buy wards, only place them (except when going to short lane, look under strategy section for more info)Sentry Wards: you can place for counter warding, for other purposes get dustGem of Truesight is fine when you have aegisAegis: Great item if you are the main carry and going for Divine
Rejected Items
Rod of Atos: The slow is nice but it gives no mana regeneration and 0 damage. Pretty bad item on BoneDagon: NO GOD! NO GOD PLEASE NO! NO! NO! NOOOOOOOOOOrbs don't mostly work on Bone since his arrows are orb effect and anything but Mjollnir is wasted on himRadiance: It signals your enemies you are there and all they have to do is use dust and kill you. You are not Weaver to chase heroes with max MS and use ultimate when ever you get in dangerShadow Blade/Lothar: Yo dawng, we hear you like Wind Walk so we put Wind Walk in your Wind Walk so you can Wind Walk while you Wind Walk... or somethingEye of Skadi: Doesn't work with Searing Arrows in Dota2, and medicore benefits in DotA. Works only against really bad opponents

V.Strategy

Swap stats on Power Treads

This means that when you decide to kill someone or start ganking swap your Treads to Agi, and when expecting a gank or team fight swap them to Str just in case. If you need additional mana to use Wind Walk or Pact swap them to Int.

Just remember that swapping will cancel wind walk, so if you start attacking someone with Treads on Str double click them to change to Agi, (use hotkey programs like Warkeys to do that)

Gank early with TP scrolls

While laning, if you notice that enemy heroes on dual lane are easy kill for you, teleport to that lane if needed and ambush then with Wind Walk. They can't see you coming.
Conserve your mana early game so you have at least 260 mana if you decide to TP to another lane.

Don't gank without Death Pact

It gives you great damage and HP buff, and can decive opponents thinking you are easier to kill then you actually are. If you are getting ganked or are in teamfight consume a nearby lane creep to gain advantage if possible

VI.Good Allies and Counters

VII. Misc

My replay:
Match id: 4533778

Match id: 4205410
Pub game by Na'Vi Dendi. This game is really good to watch because he plays against stronger team and manages to snipe enemy heroes and carry the game, as a pubber you will often find yourself in situations like this one, highly recommended to watch

You watch it by enabling console for Dota 2 (Steam->My Games->right click on Dota2->Properties->Set Launch Options -> type "-console" launch Dota 2, type dota_match_details id (id=4533778 in this case)

Clicky
A great v6.72b replay that features various famous players, Bone's performance here isn't anything special, but you can learn how to manage mana when you don't go for Soul Ring and Orchid/Guinsoo here

Clicky
Excellent 6.71b replay between LGD and Nirvana with Bone as main carry. Game version is 1.24, use DotA version switcher to watch

VII. Closing Word
This is it folks, I hope you enjoyed it.
