As all of the other guides say and this one is not different Icarus is a hybrid (carry, support, nuke in some games they say that hes tank but i wouldnt agree because he has 0 base armor (4 at lv 25 without boost of items)). His skills take some time to get used to but once you do that the early game kills will start raining on you.True that he has 0 armor but he has 1 of the biggest normal damage in the game + he is range.Overall hes very fun to play and he owns early game.

Your semi-chase, semi-escape skill and finish skill. You can manualy end the dive by pressing the hotkey or by starting another skill. This comes great with your ulty because of the disarm.Disarming means that you cant attack but you can still cast skills.A very good anti-carry skill. Dont use it for farming because it has a 40 second cooldown.Uses 10% of current HP to cast.
Your support skill and damage skill. At level 1 it heals a total of 160 hp when fully charged which is the biggest heal at lv 1.Dont use before fully charged because you will get almost no HP.Its an aoe heal which can heal you and everyone around you and still damage enemies in the 400 aoe.It can be targeted so use it at low hp or escaping heroes when dive isnt ready.Uses 10% of your current HP to cast.
Main chase, nuke and semi-escape skill. Its good through all of the game because its percentage based. You can use it for up to 25 seconds because it drains 4% of your max mana.It also slows which increases per level.Do not target, stop and target aggain. It uses 25% of your current HP to cast.
Usualy I would go like that:
