Foreword
This is my first guide. This guide about a way to play with bounty hunter as a support/semi-ganker. I decided to make this guide since i noticed his uselessness as a ganker because he has no real disable. This build is a new hybrid, I hope to see more of like this to make DotA have more choices than just heroes. He doesn't have to be the killer to gain from enemy's death. This guide might bring him in the competitive scene.

Hero Introduction

Bounty Hunters like Gondar do not play by the rules. His ideal attack pattern is to initiate from the shadows and stab you in the back. He'll keep this up if unchecked, and carries deadly Shurikens to deal high ranged damage as well. He also learns Jinada, which allows him to deal critical damage while slowing his prey down, allowing his strength to match his cunning later on. What sets him aside from any other killer, however, is that he doesn't work for free. Gondar can Track his targets, lowering their armor, monitoring their location, making them easier to chase, and providing a hefty gold reward if the poor sap winds up dead--which he makes often the case.

Gondar is a Draenei that is often called upon for his superior skills. Not much is known about his past, but his capabilities are extraordinary. Some believe he learned from a ninja clan while others say he was born with his amazing abilities. He is able to throw shurikens with extreme accuracy and has the strength to strike down any foe with his two swift blades. His agility is matched by none, and his stealth is inferior only to few. He is interested in the conflict for money alone, and is promised a large reward.

Author's Comment

I usually use this to cancel tp's and other channeling spells. Sometimes I also spam this to increase damage output usually after BS.

22. Stat
23. Stat
24. Stat
25. Stat

Justification:

get 1 lvl of wind walk for escape then 1 level of shuriken toss to cacel tp or channeling spells. you max jinada first for the damage without using mana. then you max toss for more damage or wind walk if you need to scout that much but 2-3 levels of wind walk will suffice.

Choosing between the two builds:

Skill Build 1
(30*.8929)damage lvl1 WW + (200*.8929) damage jinada + (100*.75) damage toss = 26.787 + 178.58 + 75 = 280.367damage 140 mana 6 sec cooldown

In speaking of lane harassment this should stand-out since this requires not that high mana and low cooldown although you'll have lower damage

Its really up to you which build you want to go and your playstyle. I usually go for Skill Build 1 since i can harass the enemy more thus making our team's carry farm. When you go for Skill build 2 its more of burst damage thus requires you to kill the enemy asap else you'll get killed.

the damage that I used in my computations are the damage when bounty hunter has when he has all his core and at level 7.

Hero Item Build

Justification:

You start with 2 guantlets to make urn later. tangos for regen you could also try salve but i prefer tango. yes, he is a viable chick buyer since he play as a support in my guide.

Notes

-Use common sense, this is important
-Before you buy an item, you should think what your team needs.
-Every game has different situation sometimes [insert item here] works in this game and in other game it doesn't
-Everything is situational just go with the flow
-Every item is viable but there are always something that is better than the other

Hero Strategy

You could lane with your carry and babysit him. Don't ever get the creeps from your carry unless it is needed (i.e. he is trapped by creeps). You can also do creep pulling to gain exp and gold when the creeps are being too pushed.

When doing an attack:

1. Use Wind walk.
2. Let the lane mate hit the target.
3. You hit the target until it drops.
4. Use toss when the enemy channels a spell or tp'ing.
5. Don't last hit the hero, let your carry do it.
6. Rinse and repeat.

Mini guide for track:

for the allies:
[+] +20% bonus ms
[+] +225 gold if the target dies
[+] +50 gold for the allies near the target when it dies (925 AoE)

for the enemy:
[-] -5 armor
[-] sight to the target
[-] true sight to the target

Hero Synergy

~Any dps carry.
~Minus armor team.
~Any hero who benefits from -armor, extra ms, slow for the enemy, and a gank initiator.

~especial mention:

I really like to lane with her because of the silent and the slow. The enemy that we are chasing is like crawling yet he can't shout for help. Its a merciless kill.

Good synergy. He benefits from the movespeed granted by track and the slow from jinada.

Good synergy. He benefits from the ms that the track grants, he's like an african runner except he's white. Also the slow from jinada makes his job easier but it doesn't have synergy with his ulti but at least you get force staff.

The stun and terrorwave has a good synergy its awesome to go roam with her

Replays

Still underdevelopment.
