Skill build: Ok, first things first. A bit of skill explanation: Purification Repel Degen Aura Guardian Angel |
Item build: The convention I implemented for myself is to see the game as four stages: Starting, Early, Mid and Late. It's not something formal, and it's not something that's attached to hero level or time. It's just a form to divide the item goals as the game advances. Other thing to have in mind for buying items, is the gold income and the overall game gold. Providing that you are fairly good at last-hitting (four creeps of a five creep wave), you should have in mind that your role will be, most of the times, support. So, now the big problem: The gold. The farming gold (from creeps) is limited, proportional to the game duration, and an all equiped Omniknight could be good, but it's not a game breaker as an armed Troll warlord or Phantom Assasin, so you'll be have to let your lane partner to farm a little more than you (Of course, this is providing your partner knows how to play. An armed idiot doesn't work either). To sum up, you will have to make a cheap build (cheap but not innefective) in order to let your carry with the most gold. Starting Game First, you must be able to decide if you want the two bracers style The two bracers style gives you more life and mana pool. This serves better against nukers or DSP heroes. On the other hand, the Wand-Urn style is more complex: You gain more mana regen, life regen, and burst Mana-Life regen (depends on wand charges). This serves better if your team ganks often; or you are against spammers; or to increase your healing ability. In the end, it is up to you and what fits you better (no choice is totally wrong neither totally right). So, for exampling purposes, I'm going to choose the two bracers style. Unless you are the designed "Courier buyer", you can start with one tango; two clarities; and two circlets If you are the designed "Courier buyer", then replace the courier for one circlet. If your choice is the Wand-Urn, you could start the game with either this: Or This: Early game If you're not that good at last hitting: Practice or get this Also, if your playstyle is the chaser type, get this This is only for creeps, so keep it in the form of Stout (PMS is a waste of money and Vanguard is overkill and delays your core) Now, if you're healing your allies too much, get the Soul Ring first Immediately after, get boots Then, if you're being harrassed too much or you need a life boost, complete the bracers Else, complete your Phase Boots The idea of Phase boots is that they help you land your Purification. Just phase yourself, and walk through the enemy hero. When your in the middle of him, heal yourself and is a certain nuke (unless he blinks). By minute 15-20 (depending on your farming skills), your inventory should look like this: Or This: Congrats, you've just completed your core. Mid Game Since your mana pool is very poor (compared to the frecuency you need to spam your skills), we get this Ok, now it's time to buy your orb. In my opinion, S&Y is the best item YOU can get (of course it's not THE best item to get, but it's cheap and gives almost everything you need). So, for 4400 gold: Late Game Ok, now it's time to buy the luxury. Late game, you're going to wish your oponents to be still, so basher is not a bad choise And, cuirass is not a bad choise either Situational I call "Situational" the items that fits Omni, but depends on the situation. Vladimir is an excelent item to get (since you are both support and melee). If your team competes in the paralimpics and are all melee, get this asap before the necros (or replacing the necros, you decide). Mecansm is very good if you need more things to heal your team. The cons are that it's a little expensive and you're going to need a good mana pool. The new boots. If you decided for the Mecansm, I recomend to get this boots instead Phase. This way, you'll become a moving fountain. Get euls if you want a dissable. All it's habilities are of use to you. It's very expensive, but if you can afford it, it is way better than the S&Y. Very good for slowing even more. The only ones able to escape will be stunners and blinkers. No hero will reject Tarrasque, so, if you need a big life boost, go on. Other items that could be Shivas gives you another slow and gives a boost to your mana pool. Get this if another team member has shivas. Are you beeing targeted too much? Repel + Blademail ensures you to be targeted only with phisical attacks. Get this if the match extends too much. This is good if the enemy team is filled with AOE heroes. Rejected Items Does Repel mean anything to you? Look the last item. Emm... no. Don't argue. Also any other orbs or DSP items are rejected. |
