Well, in a pub game, you failed or your teammates fed, and the score looks like 2-15, and you guys lost 4 towers while the sentinal lost only 1 tower, and they are ganking like crazy.Your carriers would not dare farm. All you teammates just come autoattack the creeps right in front of the tower and quickly back and stay in base. OMG, we are soo going to lose this one! And what to do now?
I know you are confused, feeling hopeless, its OK, most players would be the same. well, don't worry, consider it a chance to comeback, and the game would be a much more interesting one than a boring pub stomping. As a pub player often carry noobs,let me help you to increase the chance of comeback.
First things first, early ganks, hero kills don't win the game, it is the late game team fights, heros, items, and mistakes that decide the result of the game.
The first thing to do is to recheck (as you should have checked it before you picked ur hero) the hero lineups in both team. Sometimes,it is extremely difficult to comeback. Say, if you have lineups like
, and you got stomped by them
, I would not be so optimistic about comeback. In the other hand if you have heroes like 
, and the opponents get something like 
, you have a pretty good chance to laugh in the end.
After checking the lineup, and decide that your team still have a descent chance to win (say, more than 20%), communicate with teammates, and decide what to do. Simply, you guys now need to defend and farm and wait the enemy to make mistakes. Ward some key locations so you can catch your enemy's mistake and let them pay.
What if they dont make mistakes? They will -- everyone makes mistakes, but there is a chance that they continue to make less mistakes than you guys, so be careful and try to
Why not gank? As many may ask, well, you gank, but that is not your first priority. You gank when you are sure you can grab a free kill, that is the first type of mistake you enemy is likely to make. When the opponents have more kills, they play loosely and sometimes, they farm in your woods alone, and if you have ward there, go with 2 of your teammates and get the free money. However, DO NOT go across half a map trying to kill an enemy carrier who is farming in front of their tower, in most cases, you will be killed instead, and sometimes, that would cost you the game.
