1. Hero's
Story
Lucifer was the leader of the Doomguard attack force of the burning legion in the first attack by the dark lord Sargeras. With his original master long gone, Lucifer grants his undying loyalty to the Scourge to finish what his lord once started. Devouring the insignificant for his greed while dissipating the souls of those brave and strong enough to withstand his strength and the heat of his fiery haven of burning earth, Lucifer takes no prisoners and makes sure those who persevere through his wrath die by the agonizing and burning pain of Doom itself.
2. Hero'sThe Doom bringer is one of the most annoying heroes to play against. His recent remake in v6.66 made him a very fun-to-play hero, leaving the old doom behind, his reworked devour now is his main weapon to turn the tide of the battles, swaping his role on the team. Scorched earth now is much more efficient, his victims canīt run from it. LVL?DEATH is still his range nuke. Doom Bringer is a reborn hero, his ultimate destroy his enemies, dealing lots of damage and shuting the victim out from the fight. You will se how your enemies trembles for mercy while you kill them all with your very versatile and mighty playstyle.

Also, it is the base of our combo, i will get to this later.

Description: Both basic and bonus damage are magic. It also causes a ministun that can be used to cancel chanelling skills or scrolling enemy heroes. You must be very carefull while killing LVL?DEATH, once you skilled a point on it, the damage multiplier canīt go back. A good way to do the bonu damage is sticking to your laning enemies levels as a guide. This skills has 8 seconds cooldown at every level, this means that is your main weapon to keep a safe lane and harrash your enemy, also it is a very spamable nuke that you can use to last hit a fleeing hero.

Cooldown: 110 (*90) / 110 (*80) / 110 (*70)
Manacost: 150 / 200 / 250
Description: This is your "OMFGGG IMBAAAA PLIZZZ NERF" skill. It allows Doom Bringer to destroy a enemy unit without even touch it. The Aghamin's improve is so much powerfull, the cooldown falls down a LOT, and the damage raises to extremely awesome amounts. The right way to use this skill is at the battle start, doom a caster enemy unit to prevent getting you or your teammates fucked up by his stuns/disables/nukes. The damage type is magic, and unlike other silences, doomed units canīt use items and some other passive skills. The only problem is that if the doomed's unit lifes drops below 25%, it can be denied by his teammates. Doomed units canīt pick up any items, and some orbs (like frost orb from Skady-ranged) are disabled, also, radiance aura is disabled with some basic passives like bash, splash damage, cleave, evade and critical strike.
5. Hero's Skill BuildSkill Build
Level 1 - Devour
Level 2 - Scorched Earth
Level 3 - Devour
Level 4 - LVL?DEATH
Level 5 - Devour/Scorched Earth
Level 6 - Doom
Level 7 - LVL?DEATH
Level 8 - Devour/Scorched Earth
Level 9 - LVL?DEATH
Level 10 - Scorched Earth/Devour
Level 11 -Doom
Level 12 - Scorched Earth/Devour
Level 13 - LVL?DEATH
Level 14 - Scorched Earth/Devour
Level 15 - Stats
Level 16 - Doom
Level 17+ - Stats
Skill Build Justification:
We take Devour at level 1 for an easy farming, later, Scorched Earth to get away from first blood/early action attemps. Another point on Devour allows you to start picking some neutral skills, LVL?DEATH for a spamable nuke (remember to use it for harrash IF you can get the bonus damage) and getting some kills early game. In level 6, we take Doom (from here, doom whenever is possible at levels 11 and 16), this will allow you for start ganking, then, A few points on LVL?DEATH for nuke the enemy down and Scorched Earth to get close and attack him quickly in a few seconds. After that, we take the remaining points in Devour (in order to get some new skills sets), Scorched Earth for plus DPS and LVL?DEATH whenever you think you can get the bonus damage. REMEMBER: You can take LVL?DEATH at any time, or just skip it in order to stay the multiplier at the same level than the enemy hero, without bonus damage, the skills is almost worthless.
6. Hero's Item Build
Core Item Build
Luxury Item build
Item Build Justification:
Bottle is a must for Doom Bringer. His mana issues during ganking are solved with this item, althoug you could also get Magic Wand if doing well on farming. Boots of Travel allows him to global creep-gank, and adds a very nice amount of movespeed, you can abuse from this with Scorched Earth. Battlefury is just everything he needs, more damage, hp/mana regeneration and a powerfull cleave that he can abuse with the rest of the luxury item build. With Vladimir's Offering you get damage, armor, mana reg and lifesteal!
Situational Item Build
Late Game Item Justifications:
Shiva's Guard destroy all kind of mana issues from Lucifer, also, allows him to nuke with another spell, slow the opponents to abuse Scorched Earth IMS and IAS, and buff his defensive stats. Hearth of Tarrasque is also viable instead of Shiva's Guard, this allows Doom Bringer to be a fully tank hero, totally fearless. Also, Armlet adds him damage, attack speed and armor, now your doom is a full carry style (don't forgot to eat the Alpha Wolf). Desolator is the recommended orb for Domm Bringer, even MORE damage and armor reduction, and Assault Cuirass to unleash lots of damage in a short period of time

Situational Item Justification:
Well, Aghamin and Guinzo are viable as some kind of "after-core" items when you want to get over thoose mana issues, or even if you want (yet another) disable or improve your ulti. You can get Phase Boots if not doing well on farming, you need de movespeed, but if you donīt have enough gold to reach Boots of Travels, get Phase Boots, you can still abuse IAS from Scorched Earth. Magic Wand is VERY usefull early-mid game if bottle is not enough to gank every time you can, more hp/mana reg is very usefull. Finally, Radiance adds MORE damage and AoE DPS. And Refresher orb can be a situational build for a caster Lucifer, (you use the perserverance frombattlefury to complete refresher), ult two times disabling two enemi heroes, great adventage, and then nuke everyone!
7.Hero's StrategyEarly Game
About Item Build: Starting items, they should be a combination of the items listed up there, depending on how much money do you get from the start. There we have some stats to survive while laning, some hp regen and some mana regen, very important because you will be eating units and zapping enemies for harrash every time you can, as far as you can get the bonus dmg from LVL?DEATH, of course.
Behaviour: Early game strategy is quite simple: farm as much as you can. Use Devour to get more gold, try to last hit at least 3 creeps per wave and you will be great. If you can pull neutralls to your creeps and get some gold from them, you will farm some core items real fast. Be relaxed, early game on Lucifer is pretty boring sometimes, get as much gold as you can and STAY ALIVE.
Tips: Eat low hp creeps or ranged ones, this will allow you to kill them faster and eat again as soon as the cooldown allows you.
Mid Game
About Item Build: We now need to get bottle in order to gank without getting out of mana, also, we need boots to chase thoose low hp heroes fleeing around. You can now roam, and need to be ganking now and them, so getting Perserverance from the secret shop allows you to start working on Battle Fury, boost your hp and mana and even without getting back to base. Try to get Claymore and Broadsword as fast as you can, last hiting + devour will get you enough gold to do so.
Behaviour: GANK, FARM, GANK, FARM, GANK, This way is going to be, now the game is now more funny for you, as soon as you hit level 6 mark, go gank some weak heroes with middle-low hp in the other lanes. Ult + LVL?DEATH (Althoug it might be possible that you donīt get the bonus dmg, you should cast it anyways) and a few hits, that's it, PROFIT. Keep ganking everytime your ultimate is available and farm in your lane when the cooldown is working out. Once you get Aghamin's Scepter, you can gank more often.
Tips: When ganking a lane, hide in the jungle where the enemy canīt see you coming and turn on Scorched Earth, the get closer to your victim and cast Doom, and then, constantly LVL?DEATH, a few hits and he will have a painfull death waiting for him after a few seconds, if not, you can nuke him again with LVL?DEATH or chase him in case that you can cast Scorched Earth. Don't be afraid of ganking full hp heroes, almost all (intelligence and agility heroes mostly) will fall down even if you leave the battle scene, and don't be afraid to hit the enemy a few seconds under their tower, you have nice hp now and he can't cast any skills. Be carefull when gankin dual-lanes. Also, you can get a frost-slow skill from a banshee neutral creep to abuse your IAS over your victim and render as muchs dps as possible.
Late Game
About Item Build: Now you got Battlefury, you need to get some ms to keep pwning around, i strongly recommend BoT, but if you canīt farm it, go for Phase Boots. After you got Vladimir's Offering, pick a luxury item and start buying it, there is no rush, you can take your time, you are imba alredy with a cleave and a lifesteal.
Behaviour: Keep ganking thoose lonely heroes in the jungle or in the lanes. Get some skills set from neutral creeps to change your playstyle, you can slow the enemy, drive some crtrical strikes, increase even more your ms, trap them into nets, burn their mana down and many MANY more. In team fights, doom a powerfull spellcaster/permadisabler/hard carry hero so your teammates can fuck him up. Activate scorched earth after a while to regenrate some lost hit points and chase thoos fleeing cowards. Nuke them every time you can, but save some mana to burn the earth in case you need it as a scape mechanism o a chase mechanism.
Tips: Always LVL?DEATH before DOOM, thoose little bitchies are planning to get some linken's sphere as they get tired of perma-being-pwned because of you and your annoying ultimate skill. If cast LVL?DEATH on a enemy, and trigger their spell block, doom them and screw up all his hopes.
7b. Devour's best targets
GHOST
Frost Attack - 20% attack and movement speed slow, 1.5 second duration, 0 second cooldown, 12 mana, 15 damage bonus.
This is really nice when you want to abuse your IAS from Scorched Earth, with this skill, you can deliver more damage due to the enmy being permaslowed. It aslo adds some damage. Ghost level is 3
OGRE MAGI
Frost Armor - 5 second slow duration, 5 second cooldown, 40 mana, 800 cast range, 45 second armor duration, 8 bonus armor.
It allows the Doom Bringer to equip himself or a teammate with a very powerfull armor in early-mid game. This armor could be very usefull, you can put this on you when you want to kill some heroes in their towers, avoid melee attackers, kill roshan etc. Ogre magi level is 3
ALPHA WOLF
Command Aura - 30% damage bonus, 500 AoE.
Critical Strike - 20% chance, 2x damage multiplier.
This gets really usefull for Doom Bringer as a carry-dps hunter. In late game it works very well, and can deliver lots amounts of damage, your teammates can also get benefit from aura. Alpha wolf level is 4
CENTAUR KHAN
Endurance Aura - 15% attack speed bonus, 900 AoE.
War Stomp - 2 second hero stun, 3 second unit stun, 20 second cooldown, 100 mana, 250 AoE, 25 damage.
This skillset is pretty usefull. You and your allies get benefit from an IAS and you can also stun in a 250 AoE. The stun might work better in early-mid game, althoug it can bring your mana pool down quickly. Centaur Khan level is 5
POLAR FULBORG URSA WARRIOR
Thunder Clap - 25% movement and attack speed slow, 150 damage, 300 AoE, 12 second cooldown, 100 mana, 3 second duration.
You can use the AoE slow as a feature to release damage while scroching th earth. The thunder clap might burn your mana pretty quickly, but sometimes can be VERY usefull, that's for sure. Polar Fulborg Ursa Warrior level is 5
This ones are my top tier eated neutrals, but if you are interested, you can check for the complete list in the "[Misc] Dooms new ability 6.66b's Devour" Guide, by gt4drifter
8.Best Allies and Worst EnemiesDoom Bringer can benefit from map scouting, ward bitchies and global skills helps him to identify targets and doom them until death. Also, mana pool heroes can help him spam Devour and LVL?DEATH early game, and some disablers can help him land more hits stunning the enemy target.
Map Hacking skilled heroes, for vision at gank time.
Roamers, gankers, disabler and hard stuners heroes.
As for enemies, Doom Bringer must only be afraid of orb walkers/bothering harrashers that donīt let him farm and any other hard disable that fuck him up before he can doom the target.
9.ConclusionWell, we can get to the conclusion that Lucifer is a fun to play hero. Can tank, can support, can gank, can lead the team to victory, thanks to 6.66 buff, he can play pretty well almost every role. Today we know that his ultimate skill is fucking annoying and can take one person out of battle in a sec. He is a easy-to-pwn pubstomper and also, i think it could reach the competitive scene...I hope you guys liked this little guide, and i hope that my guide can lead some new players into the pwnage world of Doom Bringer, and show some no so new players the great hero that Lucifer can be in good hands.
