Slardar If played correctly will be the most supportive DPS hero late game. Your many kills shall start as soon as u get ur Ulti which is -15 armour.

BUT with this build u can minus 26 armour. This Build is Quite Expensive but it is well worth it.

Now we will start the guide with the skill build.

Reasons: Slardar mainly relies on his slithereen crush for finishing off or starting a combo on a character. YOU MUST max it out ASAP. Plus Sprint is for the chase and bash is for them
moments when ur chasing and Sprint fades but you land that last hit that stuns them and gives u a great kill.

Item Build:



Start of with 2 gauntlets and 1 Circlet of Nobility and tangos.

Then while farming buy your Boots of speed, Gloves of Haste, Treads recipe and Belt of Giant Strength at base. Try stay out as long as possible, deny creeps, last hit creeps and only return to base when u have no
tangos left and below 300hp but also if you still have money buy the 2 bracers.



Now you should have Power Treads str and 2 bracers.



Keep farming until You buy your desolator. This will have a -6 armour effect and with your ulti its a great combo. BUT wait
It gets alot better.



Then u farm till you recieve an assault cuirass. DO THE MATH. -15-6-5= -26 armour!! But when farming for your assault cuirass get the hyperstone first then the
rest in watever order.



Now farm up the Heart then Monkey King Bar and Buriza.
As you go along sell the bracers.

BUT if you are facing extreme lifestealing heroes such as Naix or Broodmother or heroes that do crazy damage like
Phantom Assassin get Blademail instead of the Buriza.

Also if you are versing disablers with hex instead of Buriza get Linkens Sphere.

After this build you should be able to solo every hero with ease. (Unless you where going really bad early game).

Heroes and Foes.

Heroes:
Good heroes to be with on your team are people who have a stun or something that makes the targeted hero slow down or forced to stop moving. e.g. Lion, Naix,
Barathrum, Ezalor, Blood Seeker.
I find the best hero to lane with is Naix. He and Slardar can start of a good combo for a kill.

Foes:
Heroes that disable or slow you. Slardar is great for ganking with sprint but if they see you and disable you your combo has already shattered.
People like Lion, Ezalor, and NightStalker. However sprint at full level gives you the speed of Balanar when he is at night.
Naix is the anti-Slardar so the blade mail will change the tides of battle.

Strategy in depth:

EARLY GAME:
Slardar should never solo because he need an extra bit of help to pull off a successful kill with his combo early game. Never use your slithreen crush only until you get your ulti or
if you are being chased with low hp. whoever you are laning with organise a plan. e.g. You will firstly cast your ulti then you sprint in while the other hero puts in as much damage as they
can or cast the stun. By the time the stun wears off you would be right there mashing into them and if he is starting run away just use your slithreen crush to slow him down to finish him
off.

This would work quite well if there is one hero in your lane fighting you. But if the case that there is 2 heroes in your lane you should try to pull of the combo as fast as you can and then
retreat but unless your are relatively have high hp and so does your lane buddy go for the second guy. But never try this near their tower. always start it near your tower so they have
a long way to run for safety. Always try to deny creeps and last hit creeps. But always save your lane buddy if he is in trouble with a quick slithereen crush and run like no tommorow.
Always keep your hand on the hot keys and the alt button to check how high or low the hp of your friends and foes is. Stay in this lane as long as possible only till mid game.

MID GAME:
By now you should have ATLEAST your 2 bracers Str Treads and maybe 1 mithril hammer. Now you should try to take out some kills with your team mates. whenever they call for you,
be there as fast as possible. Then the fun starts... always cast your amplify damage on the strongest or targeted hero. This will make team fights alot more easier for your team mates.
While in team fights try to slip in unnotticed to the middle of the fight and do your Slithereen crush and try to get most of the heroes in it. this will give your team a small time window
to do some great damage to the targeted hero or to use there skills on particular heroes. After a few successful team fights and some tower destroying you should be able to finish of your
build in time. But also you may wanna change some items in some situations.

LATE GAME:
Late game is probably the greatest time in the game and by now you have all of your build. This means a -26 armour and crazy damage. If tiny was on your team its like an automatic win. Just do the combo and let tiny do what he does best... Throwing people...

Anyway You should be able to solo every hero on the enemy side with ease. an in team battles you can change the tide of battle with one simple spell like amplify damage or slithereen crush.

Problem is if you use sprint at the wrong time and situation and when you are fighting the wrong hero you will be Sushi to them so be a bit smarter. Sprint gives you good attack speed and movement speed but it increases the damage of the opponent on you. and if facing a hero like sven with gods strength well god help you... BUT THATS WHAT THE BLADEMAIL IS FOR

You can kill phantom assassin without even attacking her. When you see her and you see her just about to do her blink strike, Activate your blademail and surely her own 3400 critical will kill herself XD.

Using this you will be able to take a situation quite calmly and i hope that this guide has been great help to your Dota gaming. Plz rate it high
