My name is Tresdin, and there is a great threat growing in my kingdom. And that threat is the waves of filthy non-human refugees who litter our street corners and whose mongrel languages are belted out in every pub! I didn’t become the greatest general this kingdom has seen in hundreds of years to see my lands reduced to this, but that will be dealt with shortly. For now my axe is called to battle the hordes of darkness that threaten every human in these lands. I march to turn the tables on these horrors, and I dare even one of them to test me in single combat! I go to see things are taken care of the right way, the human way!

Overwhelming Odds

This is your primary nuke, escape, chasing, and juking mechanism.
Besides increasing your ms by percentage, this skill can be useful when pushing, defending and most of all killing illusions or summoning. If you ever see a brood mother pushing your tower with her babies , a furion with his gang of "bonsai" or even illusions heroes who play the fool with you feel free to KILL THEM ALL by using this skill and at the same time gain your self ms. Whenever you see a fleeing hero but your unable to cast this spell directly on him, straight away cast on the coming enemy creep wave or even neutrals creep camps to gain ms and chase the hell out of them. This skill can also be use to farming creep waves. At level 4 after casting this skill, all the creep will be on low hp which is nearly to last hit so spam it when you have mana to spare but remember to save some mana which is enough for another cast just in case you get ganked. Furthermore, try to cast on as many unit as you can do, I even need to mentioned that lol.

Press The Attack

Ah...... the skill that gives you a little more survivability and gives you a bit support role. This skill just piss the early game roamer "Venomancer" off as it removes disable and buff,for example: Venomancer cast gale you cast this skill make his life miserable. This can be also use to remove disable which is funny because one cannot cast spell when being disable which means you can only save your team mates but cant save your self...... This skill is also cast before you cast your ultimate to heal when you are dueling at the same time you benefits from the bonus attack speed for some time. For me this is kinda combination of Omni Knight's 1st and 2nd skill with bonus atk speed but way weaker. One thing that I always forget to do is I usually forget to cast this skill when pking so do not be a noob like me and always remember to cast this skill when in team fights or 1on1 situation.

Moment of Courage

The skill all str hero dream of the tanking skill of all!!!! Whenever Tresdin is ATTACKED, he has a chance to gain a moment of courage, instantly attacking again with bonus lifesteal. So this skill for me is like a combination of critical strike and satanic effect. You see for normal hero they deal 2 times normal damage but for Tresdin he hit again immediately hence is same as dealing 2 times critical but with lifesteal even up to 80% when lvl 4. As you see this skill only work when he's attacked which mean even when you are tanking tower you will gain the lifesteal and instantly atk again. But I want to mentioned the speciality of this skill, it acts as a anti carry skill this is because normally carries will have high atk speed or illusion. So when your opponent's carry have a higher atk speed or more illusion means Tresdin himself will also do more times atk as he tank them off.

Duel

How am I goin to describe this imba skill. Ok this is like a doom which doom your self and the target but both will be unable to cast spell or even some passive effect is disable and both will be forced to kill each other until 1 of them die or until the skill effect is gone. If it happens that Tresdin kill his opponent in that duration he will gain +10 permanent damage same if the enemy wins the duel the enemy will gain the damage. However when both Tresdin and that enemy is in duel condition other team mates can help to kill. This is a very dangerous skill as if you feed this skill to opponent's carry a few times you are mostly dead on late game but if you successfully wins a few times of duel you will be dealing tons of damage later on. So always cast this skill on the right time at the right place and only if you are sure that you can get the kill. Becareful of counter ganks as you are the aset of your team you die when duel the whole team will blame on you on late game. The best part of this skill is Anti Mage can't mana burn, Ursa warrior can't fury swipes, Troll can't bash no more fervor and so on. Some of you might say I am talking trash but if the above skill can be use imagine Tresdin cast duel on Slark(Murloc Nightcrawler) and get essence shift till dead. Next all items effect is gone and when I say GONE I mean it. Cranium basher no more bash, diffuser no more mana burn, HOtD no more lifesteal, SnY no more maim, radiance do not sparkles. If you ever see the animation of bashing or mana burn, it is the animation before you cast duel so do not be confused. You can choose to not believe me but you can test this out using the "-dummy" command.

Explaination:
Lvl 1 of "Press The Attack" is to prevent from being first blood.
"Moment of Courage" is max first as it is your primary nuke and follow up with "Press The Attack" to increase your survivability. However if you are getting harass too hard in your lane you can choose to max out "Press The Attack" first."Moment of Courage" is the last to be lvl up as in early game you cannot really tank and this skill rely on tanking. Duel is taken whenever as possible because of the increase in duration. Some may argue that "Press The Attack" should be max up first but I feel that maxing up "Moment of Courage" is better as you can kill stealing and farm easier to your main core item.

Explanation:
The two gauntlets will be turn into urn of shadow later on and it provides quite good stats and hp. 1 set tango and a salve is enough to survive on early game as you got a healing skill. 2 gg branches is taken for some stats, you can also change the gg branches into another tango or salve if you think you will lane with supreme harassher like viper and so on.

Core Items


Urn of shadow is bought to manage your mana issues and the same time provides you with some hp for survivability plus it's soul release is very fun to use can be use to chase and heal. Phase boots is chosen than other boots as you need the additional +24 damage when you cast "Duel" and the phase mode is good for chasing plus your "Overwhelming Odds" makes you an extreme chaser. Moreover you can chase while you use the Urn effect soul release till the enemy falls. And your BIG core item will be Armlet of Mordiggian cheap, raw damage is just what you need when duelling. OK you all win i agreed LOTHAR a great item for Legion. Lothar a great way ganking your enemy from the back and good for escaping but watch out for warders to prevent from counter gank.

Now, here's the trick whenever you are going in a fight always on your armlet before entering and the most important on your armlet before you are going to cast "Duel" because after you cast "Duel" you will be unable to use your item. However if you manage to turn on your armlet before casting "Duel" the effect will stay. Then remember to turn off your armlet after a fight to prevent your hp being drained by its side effect and get last hit by enemy. Since, i tested Lothar in items build i think Legion has become a semi-ganker and initiator. First you on your armlet then windwalk to cast duel on the pity prey and your team will fall in to settle the rest for you. Just a reminder never cast windwalk before you on your armlet or you will lose your invisibility when you cast your armlet later on.

Due to majority request, i added this new section the jungling build for legion the imba jungler......Anyway i only suggest this skill build if you are playing a bit supportive to your team mates this will be explained later on.

Explaination:
By using this build you are going in jungle on the beginning of the game start, this means providing another solo lane for your team. But I really recommend you to do this if only you are playing with friends which are able to solo against two heroes. You don't want to see your mates feeding a lane giving free kills rite? Why moment of courage? I personally think getting lifesteal on early game jungling is better than healing your self while killing neutrals. Moreover you only lifesteal when you are attacked this means the more neutrals unit hit you the more you lifesteal. 1 time of Overwhelming Odds can be taken if you are facing carries depending on their illusions such as Naga siren, Terroblade, Phantom Lancer and so on.

Item Build

Explanation:
LOL! This need explain ?!?! Stout shield like everyone says block a bit damage, Queling blade helps a lot in killing neutrals especially with moment of courage where you can instantly hit again while attacked. I know you guys learn a lot of jungling skills but please listen to me don use queling blade to choke point jungle when using legion commander, you are one weird jungler that needs to tank as much as possible to jungle well in fact I will even recommend you to stack creeps when jungling.

Core items for jungling will be a bit weird for me...... I personally thinks a boots of speed then straight to Lothar will be great and supprising for your opponents. As I mentioned before I recommend this section for supportive Legion as Press The Attack will be use to debuff your on team mates especially your own team carry which usually relies on attack speed. Back to the point the core item build is not really cheap for a supporter that's why I only get boots for running...... The rest money can be use to buy wards or getting flying courier.

General Jungling Strategy

Before the game start go check the rune spot for runes of course. Runes like double damage will be really effective to speed up your jungling. Now once the neutral units are spawn on the first 30 sec straight head to the medium camp aim for the Satyr camp if possible if not then go for others. This is because the Satyr camp consist of 4 satyr include 2 Satyr Trickster and 2 Satyr Soulstealer which means you will be able to lifesteal at a better chance when 4 of them attacked you at the same time and increase the percentage of "moment of courage". Ok if happens that you so unlucky you don't get any Satyr camps still go for medium camp you will be able to managed without any problems but will lose some hp. BUT, never never ever go mess with Centaur Khan camp at level 1 Centaur Khan can kill you easily......Lets say you get more unlucky when the both medium camp spawn Centaur, then you will have to kill small creep camp till you get level 3.

Once you reach level 3 those irritating centaurs will now be nothing for you, with the most 2 cast of "press the attack" you will be able to clear the centaur camp. Starting from level 4 you can take down some of the big creep camps, the Satyr Hellcaller camp and the Dark Troll Warlord camp of course again with the help of "press the attack". Moreover starting on this level you can try to stack the camps but becareful of over stacking too many centaur.

The 10 rules of Jungling for Legion Commander
1) Legion loves Satyr medium camp and Kubold Taskmaster YAY!!!!!
2) Legion hates Centaur Khan and Polar Furbolg Ursa Warrior
3) Always look after those early game roamer that loves to hunt for NC heroes. Once they start missing get yourself close to tower or your teamates.
4) Legion loves stacking creeps he thinks that he himself is good enough that he can take down as many creep as possible wakakaka! (But never overstack) Most of all Legion hates choke point jungle he thinks its only for coward Naix.(juz kiding)
5) Legion will be happy if his team mates would buy him a chick so he can get his item even if he is jungling in jungle.
6) Legion loves to be mighty in all ways and he will always check for runes once he got time.
7) Legion will only go for the small camps if he have to as most of the time he will be at the medium camp he thinks that bullying the weak is something shame to do. (But in this case I don't mean going face to face with centaur before level 3)
8) Legion will always run in to save his team mates when he got a chance even when he is jungling. He will use "press the attack" to prevent his team mates death (Legion is loyal to friend)
9) Legion would buy wards if he is threaten by opponents while jungling.
10) Legion would like to jungle as much as possible so he and his other team mate will not be sharing experience.

From here onwards your item build will depends on how your play style which is probably divided into 2:- "The Duelling Style" and "The normal atk + tanking Style"

"The Duelling Style"
This is the style where you will always use your ultimate in fights


Hyperstone just what you need - atk speed. This is because you will require to deal at much damage as you can in the "Duel" duration to ensure a kill. Hyperstone will also be upgraded into assault cuirass later on.


BKB ahh.... you might be wondering why this item is doing here when you can cast "Duel" to prevent opponents from casting spell. But 1 thing that you should always have in mind only the target which is "Duel" can't cast spell does not mean his team mates cannot. So always on your BKB before you cast "Duel" this will forced the enemies to physically atk you and hence make use of your 3rd skill "Moment of Courage".


Assault cuirass, the aura effect from assault do benefits when you cast "Duel" and it even provides increase armour aura and increase atk speed aura to your allies + it decrease your enemies armour.

"The normal atk + tanking Style"
This style is where you rarely cast "Duel" or you hardly cast on those ranged hero and maybe if you are always outnumbered by your opponents and can only cast on 1 of them before waiting it to cool down. The good thing of playing this style is you will be able to buy a wide range of item.


The most common item get in pubs Crystalys and Buriza. It sounds like this, when you tank you will be able to do more attacks and that increase the chance to critical on your attacks. As I say you don't critical when "Duelling" buy at your own risk


Based on the same theory of getting critical when you get basher you will benefits as you tank the way while bashing enemy with the extra attack. The new 6.73 map allow this item to be upgrade into Abyssal Blade which can cast "overwhelm". The point is to cast overwhelm on the target and then you can easily cast "Duel" or cast "Duel" then when the target is fleeing cast "overwhelm". Same you don't bash in "Duel" + Sacred Relics is so damm expensive and hard to buy.

Optional Item


Vanguard this item is mostly require if you are trying to play "The normal atk + tanking Style" style as you need to tank the hell while life steal as much as possible. But this item is not really encourage to be bought as its expensive and mostly useless on late game.


Another new item Heaven's Halberd this item can be useful on both play style. If you are going with the "Duelling Style" cast "disarm" on your target than cast "Duel" and hit your enemy while he cannot attack you. On the other hand, if you are playing the "The normal atk + tanking Style" it's maim effect do works with the theory of critical and bashes which is useful for chasing. BUT always keep in mind that in "Duel" duration your evasion effect DON'T WORK!!!!!!and you DON'T maim.


The experimental item Blademail I never try this before but I think it works, active your blademail and then cast "Duel" to force the target keep attacking you while it take damage not only from you but also from the damage returning effect. This item is also useful as you always get aimed in team fights when you cast your ultimate.


Kelen's dagger, nothing much to say easier to land your ultimate escaping and so on.


I only tested this item on -dummy command it works as it last 6sec while "Duel" only have a 5sec duration. Never tried in game because I personally thinks that this is real expensive and having a Vengeful Spirit or a Slardar in your team will be better as they reduce arm at the same time they can stun.

This is a flexible hero so I am not going to comment on rejected items + there's so many more play style and items build, skills build other than what I have mentioned here. Moreover many will disagree so you can see what suits yourself.

General Strategy

Laning
Normally the side lanes especially the long lanes top for scourge bottom for sentinel better be with a support with stun or slow. However if you think you are careful enough and experience enough to solo mid is ok to do so. As in pub games after you get 1 level of your ultimate you can gank and help your allies. But if you are calling for a gank be sure that it will be a sure kill and beware of counter ganks because you don't want to run around giving free +10 bonus damage like a santa Other than that just try to farm your core items and if you ever see team mates dying because of his own careless or stubborn don't save him and die with it just flee away you are the carry you don't need deaths you need kills. Besides farming it is also fun kill stealing if you are the only carry in the team using "Overwhelming Odds" to help you earn the gold which is require for your core.Later on when you got all your core items try to get kills with your ultimate and get those bonus damage.

Neutral Creeping
By the same time when you are not in combat and all the enemies are missing from the map try to farm in jungle. One way of doing this is by stacking creep camps then cast "Overwhelming Odds" to maximize it effects and damage. But never over stack and get killed by neutrals creep and be laugh by your opponents

Fleeing and Chasing
As I mentioned before when you are chasing cast "Overwhelming Odds" on creep waves or nearby neutrals to gain the movement speed if you are unable to directly cast on the hero and continue with Urn of shadow + Phase boots combo. It's almost the same as fleeing but you will be casting "Press The Attack" first if you are slow then you cast "Overwhelming Odds" and again continue with urn of shadow and phase boot combo but this time using the release soul to heal yourself.

Picking heroes to cast "Duel"
Normally "Duel" is cast on Int carries with a lot of spell as they usually will be fragile and useless without their spells or disables. However if you get into situation more than 1 carry like maybe Ursa and AM is in the same team you will have to buy some items to counter 1 of them for example if you "Duel" Ursa, AM will be burning off your mana at the same time bashing you with his basher but if you "Duel" AM, Ursa will be hiting the hell out of you with his Overpower, Fury Swipes, Enrage combo. So what you going to do is try to ask your team mates (supports) to buy Guinsoo to cast on Ursa and cast "Duel" on AM to prevent him from blinking when he's on low hp, but still try to avoid such situation or call for help from allies. The last thing is casting "Duel" on the right time not too early and not too late if you cast too early the enemy might easily escape but if you cast too late the enemy might spam tons of spell on you and your team mates causing epic chaos and damage which is not necessary if you cast earlier.

Allies

These are the examples for good stunners and disables that allows you to land your ultimate easier.


Besides stun these guys reduce enemies armour, this brings a lot of advantages when "Duel" is cast on an enemy.


These are mana batteries but becareful for OD as your team mate the wrong timing of astral imprison will cause a great lost of time when cast "Duel" so it depends on your team cooperation. However, mana batteries allows you to spam your skill on farming creeps wave by wave earning golds easily


Special mention to OmniKnight you cast "Duel" and he can simply cast any skill which will benefits you for example he heal you with purification and the "Duel" target will be damage, or he cast repel and you will be immune to disable and most of all he cast GUARDIAN ANGEL and you will be unbeatable


YEAH the new hero the enemy of all trees-Goblin Shredder. He is also special mentioned as when you cast "Duel" the target will be nail down at a fixed position and enemies will be focusing fire on Legion. This enables the goblin to land his pure damaging skill easily dealing tons of damage per second to the enemies ensuring a sure kill and a free 10 bonus damage.

Enemies


Same bunch of disablers you "Duel" they disable you giving free hits to their team mates.


And the annoying part of OD is when you cast "Duel" he can cast "Astral Imprisonment" on one of you and the duel will be stuck where the 1 not imprison will not be able to attack the 1 imprison and that skill can even last up to 4 sec while your ultimate only last to 5.5 sec on lvl 3. The same goes to Shadow demon his Disruption do nearly the same like OD imprison.


He's a friend and he's also an enemy. Same thing you cast duel he cast chakram, moreover he's whirling death takes away 7% of your str which means lower hp. But if it happens that you go in a teamfite late and this fellow here is casting chakram on you other teamate, you can straight cast "Duel" on him and he will be unable to attack you as when his casting he's ulti he's unable to attack hence you will get free hits.(provided that you are not standing in Shredder's ulti)


This guy is so damm pain when "Dueling" with it he continues to counter helix and he is so damm tank that it will be hard to kill him in the duel durations. Try to avoid this guy and if you success to make it to late game where he's counter helix is no longer pain factor get him and punish him well.

EXTRA INFO + Q&A
The Supportive Legion Commander (especially for jungler)
As you see jungling require the leveling of "press the attack", and for me this skill is just so good to save team mates. At the same time if your carry is disable or buffed you might want to use this skill to help him and increase his attack speed as most of the Agi carries relies on attack speed. Ah here's a item I suggest for supportive Legion yeah the Vlad. I just notice that auras effect do take place when using "Duel" not only Vlad, others like assault and so much more also works so getting Vlad on your team will surely help your team's melea carry and yourself. Arr.. before I forget Urn of shadow that I mentioned before will be so nice to heal your carries in your team.this is also a great item on supportive legion, this hood will make legion more tank as your hero purpose is to get physical hits by enemies and not nukes and spell so getting this item and later on pipe will be just great for your team.

Ok.......just to make this clear, nearly all passive skill is gone while dueling but not all how are we going to know which skill will be off and which skill will stay?!? K this will go like this all passive skill that are use in attacking such as Magina(Anti Mage)'s mana burn or Ursa's fury swipes or troll's fervor and a lot more will all be disable during "Duel" duration. While all passive defensive skill will stay and by this I mean Axe's counter helix, Goblin Shredder's reactive armour and Legion's moment of courage stays when "duel" duration.confused? Just play more and you will find it out yourself.


This guy is no longer a threat if you buy Lothar and cast "Duel" before he cast "Doom". Or the old way buy a BKB(Nah just kiding "Doom" can be cast even you use BKB so the only solution still goes to Lothar but BKB is great when facing silencers), once you "Duel" that nasty lucifer he is mostly dead as he has low armour, but keep in mind do this with team mates help. As the same goes to blinkers, teleporters, invis heroes, silencers and a lot more. Finish them in the duration of "Duel", and always cast "Duel" before they feel.(your presents)
