ESTC Winter'09 Results
Submitted by Juzaguy on Mon, 19/10/2009 - 10:36

Finally, after three days of ESTC Winter 2009 has come to an end with a single elimination final stage between the top two teams. Out of 64 teams, consists with 32 Thailand and 32 international teams, only Ct.INT and XtC teams manage to reach the final stage.

For this year, the ESTC organizer came up with a interesting 60 minutes rule. Which means that if a game unable to finish within 60 minutes, the winner will be decided according to number of towers down and kills that each team have.

Quote:
1. What is your opinion about the Final match with Cybertime.Int? Is your hero drafting based on countering their heroes or its the draft set that most trained by the team?

  • Cybertime played their draft very well to ensure that their razor and sf farms up by controlling the early game pretty much. Actually, we used the same draft against Kingsurf the semis and decided to use it again in the finals. We managed to turn the table during mid game and claimed the victory.

2. Speaking about the draft, what is your opinion about the match length 60 minutes rule? Does it affect your team in drafting or gameplay?

  • I think the 60 minutes rule makes drafting slightly different whereby ultimate late gamers will not have enough time to farm and carry the game. We have prepared for it so it doesn't affect us much, but we would prefer a finals with no time limit. It wouldn't be nice if a finals was won by time limit

3. How often do you train in order to prepare yourself for the ESTC? Training with the international teams more or with the locals?

  • We train as much as possible with players who are available. We mostly train with international teams.

4. Is your team satisfied by winning only ESTC Winter 2009 or having any other higher aim? Such as the largest lan competition-SMM.

  • We are definitely happy about winning ESTC, but we are also aiming for SMM. We will definitely be there.

5. Any words or shout out for your fans out there?

  • Thanks to all our supporters and sponsers out there. Do continue to support us!! Finally,
  • For MICHELLE ^^
  • ANT IS SINGLE AVAILABLE
  • Wan: me too.. =(
Thanks for your time. I wish you all the best.
